端视ICP—AES法测定尿中Pb,Mn,Cd,As,Se,Cr,Be,Ni,Cu,Zn等微量元素

尿中Ｐｂ、Ｍｎ、Ｃｄ、Ａｓ、Ｓｅ、Ｃｒ、Ｂｅ、Ｎｉ、Ｃｕ、Ｚｎ等微量元素是反应职业接触水平的重要指标,其准确测定为职业病防治、急慢性中毒诊断等提供科学依据。已建立的方法有化学比色法〔２〕、原子吸收法〔２、７、１１〕、示波极谱法〔２〕、荧光分光光度法〔２〕、气相色谱法〔２〕、阳极溶出伏安法〔２〕等,但这些方法大部分具有操作复杂、灵敏度低、消耗试剂多、分析周期长、可能接触有毒有害试剂等缺点。ＩＣＰ－ＡＥＳ法测定尿中多种元素,国内外文献已有报道〔１、３－６、８－１０、１２〕。但传统的ＩＣＰ－ＡＥＳ法检…     

Alt, krank, arbeitslos, chancenlos?

Illness can be the cause and consequence of unemployment. These relationships are well documented but only few data on the effectiveness of interventions are available. The study examines the effectiveness of a combined health and employment promotion intervention (AmigA - currently projected in several sites in Germany) for the older long-term unemployed with the main goals of an improvement of health and integrability as well as sustainable reintegration into the labour market. The evaluation design is a randomised controlled trial with a multi-method approach. A total of 71 participants could be included in the evaluation. Initial results confirm earlier findings on health and unemployment and show a psychologically and physically highly burdened sample. The intervention tended to improve depression, self-efficacy and quality of life. No effects were found for physical health, integrability and sustainable reintegration. It is discussed whether a longer duration and a higher intensity of the intervention might produce better results. The necessity of help and interventions for this highly burdened group of persons is evident but further studies are necessary to decide if the evaluated intervention is adequate to reach the goals of health and employment promotion as a standard measure.

Encephalitis,Ontario, Canada, 2002–2013

Encephalitis, a brain inflammation leading to severe illness and often death, is caused by >100 pathogens. To assess the incidence and trends of encephalitis in Ontario, Canada, we obtained data on 6,463 Ontario encephalitis hospitalizations from the hospital Discharge Abstract Database for April 2002–December 2013 and analyzed these data using multiple negative binomial regression. The estimated crude incidence of all-cause encephalitis in Ontario was ≈4.3 cases/100,000 persons/year. Incidence rates for infants <1 year of age and adults >65 years were 3.9 and 3.0 times that of adults 20–44 years of age, respectively. Incidence peaks during August–September in 2002 and 2012 resulted primarily from encephalitis of unknown cause and viral encephalitis. Encephalitis occurred more frequently in older age groups and less frequently in women in Ontario when compared to England, but despite differences in population, vector-borne diseases, climate, and geography, the epidemiology was overall remarkably similar in the two regions.

Neonatal mortality in Londrina, Paraná State, Brazil, in 1994, 1999, and 2002

Despite technological progress in recent decades, neonatal mortality accounts for some two-thirds of infant deaths where the infant mortality rates are low. This study analyzes neonatal deaths in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil, during three periods, beginning with 1994, the year when pediatric and neonatal intensive care beds were created in the city. The data were collected from live birth certificates in the National Information System on Live Births (SINASC) and individual analysis of neonatal death certificates. Births declined in the city, but the low birthweight rate increased from 7.7 to 8.8% and the preterm birth rate from 6.3 to 8.4%. Multiple births also increased. Caesarian sections varied from 48 to 52%. The percentage of deaths from congenital malformations increased. The vast majority of neonatal deaths are preventable, mainly by providing specialized care during pregnancy. The neonatal mortality rate has declined recently, from 10.1 to 6.4 per 1,000 live births. The authors conclude that neonatal care is improving in Londrina.     

艾氏剂,硫丹,乐果,磷胺,西维因,磺胺乙汞的致突变研究

鉴于农药的致突变性研究资料尚少,作者对六种农药作了微核试验和宿主中介试验。受试物包括二种有机氯(艾氏剂、硫丹),二种有机磷(乐果,磷胺),一种氨基甲酸酯(西维因)和一种汞剂农药(硫胺乙汞),进行了致突变性研究。
