重视和提高医学论文摘要的写作质量

A synopsis of head and neck oncology and related papers published in the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009/10

This review summarises all head and neck oncology and related papers published in the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS) during the period 2009-2010. A similar review, covering the years 2007-2008 was published in the Journal in 2009 and was well received by readers, as evidenced by the high number of downloads from the BJOMS website. In this article, we include all head and neck oncology-related articles published in the print version of the journal during 2009/10 and concentrate on summarising the full length article papers. Compared to the previous 2-year period, there has been a 25% increase in number of articles published in this sub-specialty.     

前哨淋巴结活检判断口腔癌颈部淋巴结转移的系统评价

目的:系统评价前哨淋巴结活检(SLNB)预测口腔癌颈淋巴结转移的临床价值。方法:通过计算机检索CENTRAL、Medline、EMBASE、IFCC、中国生物医学文献数据库系统(CBM)、中国期刊全文数据库(CNKI)、中文科技期刊全文数据库(CQVIP)、万方数据库等,收集应用前哨淋巴结活检判断口腔癌颈淋巴转移的诊断试验,应用统计软件Meta-DiSc 1.4进行数据分析。结果:纳入分析的文献9篇,前哨淋巴结活检判断口腔癌颈淋巴转移的敏感度、特异度、阳性似然比(+LR)、阴性似然比(-LR)、诊断优势比(DOR)及系统接收操作特性曲线(SROC)下面积分别为84%(95%CI 73%～92%)、100%(95%CI97%～100%)、19.16(95%CI 7.65～47.77)、0.22(95%CI 0.10～0.51)、97.72(95%CI 29.69～321.61)和0.99。结论:前哨淋巴结活检可作为临床上判断口腔癌颈淋巴结转移有效可行的方法。     

无机三氧化复合物在乳磨牙牙髓切断术中应用价值的系统评价

目的:评价无机三氧化复合物(MTA)在乳磨牙牙髓切断术中的疗效。方法:计算机检索PubMed、Cochrane Library、EMBASE、中国生物医学文献数据库、中国期刊全文数据库、中文科技期刊全文数据库、数字化期刊全文数据库,同时追溯纳入研究的参考文献。根据Cochrane系统评价的方法,采用RevMan5.0软件进行Meta分析。评价指标包括:临床成功率和影像学成功率。结果:共纳入11个研究,730个病例。Meta分析结果显示,与甲醛甲酚(FC)相比,MTA可提高乳磨牙牙髓切断术的临床成功率[OR=3.41,95%CI(1.38,8.37),P=0.008]及影像学成功率[OR=3.14,95%CI(1.61,6.14),P=0.0008];MTA与氢氧化钙(CH)相比,在乳磨牙牙髓切断术的临床成功率[OR=3.17,95%CI(0.08,128.60),P=0.54]和影像学成功率[OR=8.29,95%CI:(0.39,177.26),P=0.18]方面的差异均无统计学意义。结论:MTA作为一种新型的盖髓剂,与FC相比,可提高乳磨牙牙髓切断术的临床成功率和影像学成功率,与氢氧化钙相比,临床、影像学成功率无显著性差异。     

Improving communication through publications: contributions of American oral and maxillofacial surgery

The Journal of Oral Surgery was the first specialty publication in the United States and since 1943 it, its successor, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and other publications of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons have been committed to communication within the specialty, among dental specialties, and with dentists in general practice. A review of back issues of the journal is a history of the development of the specialty. AAOMS publications are intended to share emerging scientific and clinical knowledge, inform and educate all dentists, and establish standards for quality patient care.
