A single coronary artery (SCA) in the absence of structural heart disease is a rare coronary anomaly and is often detected incidentally during coronary angiography. We report a hitherto undescribed type of SCA originating from the right sinus of Valsalva, with the left anterior descending artery having a septal course and the right coronary artery continuing as the left circumflex artery, which was incidentally detected in a 73-year-old female.  相似文献

We present three cases of a single coronary artery that is the anomalous RCA originating from the mid LAD artery. These cases are rare. We discuss how to make accurate diagnosis and select appropriate treatment.  相似文献

Anomalous origin of the right coronary artery arising from the left anterior descending artery (LAD) is a very rare coronary anomaly. It has previously been reported in only six adult cases. In this report, we present a patient with an anomalous origin of the right coronary artery from the LAD. The patient had anginal symptoms with exercise. Myocardial perfusion imaging with thallium-201 revealed a reversible inferior perfusion defect. We suggest that this could cause myocardial ischemia. A case of double left anterior descending coronary artery is presented. The double artery originated from the left main stem and the right coronary artery. There were no stenoses on these two arteries. This anomaly of coronary arteries seems to be very rare. © 1993 Wiiey-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

Anomalous right coronary artery is a rare entity with an incidence of 0.26%. The anomalous origin usually arises from the left sinus valsalva. An anomalous right coronary artery arising from the left anterior descending artery is rare. It is usually known as a benign entity but may have clinical importance due to its course between the aorta and pulmonary artery which may cause myocardial ischemia or sudden cardiac death. Here we present an anomalous coronary artery arising from the left anterior descending artery detected by coronary artery angiogram and confirmed by multislice computed tomography thereafter. 40% retrospective electrocardiographic gating is performed and volume-rendered 3 D and axial MIP (maximum intensity projection) images were reconstructed on a Vitrea post- processing Workstation. The images demonstrated the anomalous origin of the right coronary artery arising from the proximal portion of left anterior descending artery after the first septal perforator and coursing.  相似文献

Coronary arteries with anomalous aortic origin are infrequently encountered in patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and pose potential technical difficulties for performing both diagnostic and angioplasty procedures. Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) of atherosclerotic disease in anomalous right coronary artery (RCA) has been described in only a few reports. In all the cases reported to date, the anomalous vessel arose from the left sinus of Valsalva. We report a case of a technically straight-forward PTCA performed in an anomalous RCA arising from the anterior aspect of the ascending thoracic aorta. © 1994 Wiley-Liss,Inc..  相似文献

Double left anterior descending coronary artery arising from the left and right coronary arteries is a very rare congenital coronary artery anomaly. In this report, we describe a patient with double left anterior descending coronary artery originating from the left and right coronary arteries. To the best of our knowledge, dual connection of the left anterior descending coronary artery to the left and right coronary arteries has been described in only five patients.  相似文献

Single coronary artery is an extremely rare congenital coronary anomaly in which the entire coronary arterial system arises from a solitary ostium. The Lipton's classification is used for single coronary artery anomalies. Herein, we present a 72‐year‐old woman with single coronary artery anomaly admitted with atypical chest pain. Coronary angiography and multidetector computed tomography coronary angiography findings were shared.  相似文献

We report a rare coronary artery anomaly–anomalous origin of the left anterior descending artery from the pulmonary artery in a 40-year-old woman. The uniqueness of this case is the absence of any significant morbidity from this condition in adulthood which is in contrast to other reported cases where patients present with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, and sometimes death during the early infantile period.1  相似文献

A case of a patient with congenital anomaly of coronary blood vessels with left anterior descending artery starting from right coronary sinus is presented. The patient was operated on due to symptoms of myocardial ischaemia by carrying out an off-pump coronary artery bypass graft to left anterior descending artery and obtuse marginal artery, with a very good outcome.  相似文献

We present the case of a 67-year-old female who was admitted to our institution because of anginal chest pain. Selective coronary angiography revealed separate ostial origins of the left anterior descending (LAD) artery and the right coronary artery (RCA) from the right coronary sinus (RCS). The left circumflex (LCx) coronary artery arose from the proximal RCA. The left anterior descending had an anterior free wall and the LCx had a retroaortic course. To our knowledge, this type of combination of anatomical variation of coronary circulation has not been described in the literature.  相似文献

This report describes a patient with single coronary artery, in whom the right coronary artery originated from the distal left circumflex. However, this anomaly was not of clinical significance based on atypical nature of chest pain, negative thallium exercise test and absence of coronary obstruction.  相似文献

We present the case of a rare coronary anomaly in a 64-year-old male who presented with exertional angina. The right coronary artery (RCA) was dominant, giving origin proximally to an anomalous left circumflex (LCX) artery and a left anterior descending (LAD) artery which supplied the conventional mid and distal LAD territory. The left main artery (LM) arose from the left coronary sinus and branched into a large first septal and an intermediate artery. There was associated non-critical atherosclerotic disease. We report this because of the rare division of the LAD area of supply by arteries from both coronary sinuses (dual LAD) with an anomalous LCX also arising from the proximal RCA. The clinical implications are discussed.  相似文献

A case of double left anterior descending artery is presented. One originated from the left main stem and the second one originated from the right sinus ofValsalva. This is an extremely rare variety of congenital coronary artery anomaly. By an extensive review of the medical literature, we were able to find only four similar cases.  相似文献

A 44-year-old woman with hypertension was admitted because of recent onset chest pain. Coronary angiography revealed an anomalous right coronary artery originating as a separate branch from the left anterior descending artery. Associated with the present case all published case reports were thoroughly investigated and presented as a review of the literature.  相似文献
