High-Pressure (HP) technology allows new possibilities of processing by Spark Plasma Synthesis (SPS). This process is mainly involved in the sintering process and for bonding, growing and reaction. High-Pressure tools combined with SPS is applied for processing polycrystalline diamond without binder (binderless PCD) in this current work. Our described innovative Ultra High Pressure Spark Plasma Sintering (UHP-SPS) equipment shows the combination of our high-pressure apparatus (Belt-type) with conventional pulse electric current generator (Fuji). Our UHP-SPS equipment allows the processing up to 6 GPa, higher pressure than HP-SPS equipment, based on a conventional SPS equipment in which a non-graphite mold (metals, ceramics, composite and hybrid) with better mechanical properties (capable of 1 GPa) than graphite. The equipment of UHP-SPS and HP-SPS elements (pistons + die) conductivity of the non-graphite mold define a Hot-Pressing process. This study presents the results showing the ability of sintering diamond powder without additives at 4–5 GPa and 1300–1400 °C for duration between 5 and 30 min. Our described UHP-SPS innovative cell design allows the consolidation of diamond particles validated by the formation of grain boundaries on two different grain size powders, i.e., 0.75–1.25 μm and 8–12 μm. The phenomena explanation is proposed by comparison with the High Pressure High Temperature (HP-HT) (Belt, toroidal-Bridgman, multi-anvils (cubic)) process conventionally used for processing binderless polycrystalline diamond (binderless PCD). It is shown that using UHP-SPS, binderless diamond can be sintered at very unexpected P-T conditions, typically ~10 GPa and 500–1000 °C lower in typical HP-HT setups. This makes UHP-SPS a promising tool for the sintering of other high-pressure materials at non-equilibrium conditions and a potential industrial transfer with low environmental fingerprints could be considered. 相似文献

Three-dimensional microstructures play a key role in the fabrication of flexible electronic products. However, the development of flexible electronics is limited in further applications due to low positioning accuracy, the complex process, and low production efficiency. In this study, a novel method for fabricating three-dimensional circular truncated cone microstructures via low-frequency ultrasonic resonance printing is proposed. Simultaneously, to simplify the manufacturing process of flexible sensors, the microstructure and printed interdigital electrodes were fabricated into an integrated structure, and a flexible pressure sensor with microstructures was fabricated. Additionally, the effects of flexible pressure sensors with and without microstructures on performance were studied. The results show that the overall performance of the designed sensor with microstructures could be effectively improved by 69%. Moreover, the sensitivity of the flexible pressure sensor with microstructures was 0.042 kPa−1 in the working range of pressure from 2.5 to 10 kPa, and the sensitivity was as low as 0.013 kPa−1 within the pressure range of 10 to 30 kPa. Meanwhile, the sensor showed a fast response time, which was 112 ms. The stability remained good after the 100 cycles of testing. The performance was better than that of the flexible sensor fabricated by the traditional inverted mold method. This lays a foundation for the development of flexible electronic technology in the future. 相似文献

Flexible pressure sensors are widely used in different fields, especially in human motion, robot monitoring and medical treatment. Herein, a flexible pressure sensor consists of the flat top plate, and the microstructured bottom plate is developed. Both plates are made of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) by molding from the 3D printed template. The contact surfaces of the top and bottom plates are coated with a mixture of poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly (styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and polyurethane dispersion (PUD) as stretchable film electrodes with carbon nanotubes on the electrode surface. By employing 3D printing technology, using digital light processing (DLP), the fabrication of the sensor is low-cost and fast. The sensor models with different microstructures are first analyzed by the Finite Element Method (FEM), and then the models are fabricated and tested. The sensor with 5 × 5 hemispheres has a sensitivity of 3.54 × 10−3 S/kPa in the range of 0–22.2 kPa. The zero-temperature coefficient is −0.0064%FS/°C. The durability test is carried out for 2000 cycles, and it remains stable during the whole test. This work represents progress in flexible pressure sensing and demonstrates the advantages of 3D printing technology in sensor processing. 相似文献

Resistive pressure sensors are appealing due to having several advantages, such as simple reading mechanisms, simple construction, and quick dynamic response. Achieving a constantly changeable microstructure of sensing materials is critical for the flexible pressure sensor and remains a difficulty. Herein, a flexible, tunable resistive pressure sensors is developed via simple, low-cost microsphere self-assembly and graphene/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) solution drop coating. The sensor uses polystyrene (PS) microspheres to construct an interlocked dome microstructure with graphene/CNTs as a conductive filler. The results indicate that the interlocked microdome-type pressure sensor has better sensitivity than the single microdome-type and single planar-type without surface microstructure. The pressure sensor’s sensitivity can be adjusted by varying the diameter of PS microspheres. In addition, the resistance of the sensor is also tunable by adjusting the number of graphene/CNT conductive coating layers. The developed flexible pressure sensor effectively detected human finger bending, demonstrating tremendous potential in human motion monitoring. 相似文献

Conducting polymer composites consisting of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as a conductive filler and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a polymer matrix were fabricated to investigate their capacitive and piezoresistive effects as pressure sensors. The pressure-sensing behavior and mechanism of the composites were compared in terms of basic configuration with a parallel plate structure. Various sensing experiments, such as sensitivity, repeatability, hysteresis, and temperature dependence according to the working principle, were conducted with varying filler contents. The hysteresis and repeatability of the pressure-sensing properties were investigated using cyclic tensile tests. In addition, a temperature test was performed at selected temperatures to monitor the change in the resistance/capacitance. 相似文献

The design of flexible sensors which can be incorporated in textile structures is of decisive importance for the future development of wearables. In addition to their technical functionality, the materials chosen to construct the sensor should be nontoxic, affordable, and compatible with future recycling. Conductive fibres were produced by incorporation of carbon black into regenerated cellulose fibres. By incorporation of 23 wt.% and 27 wt.% carbon black, the surface resistance of the fibres reduced from 1.3 × 1010 Ω·cm for standard viscose fibres to 2.7 × 103 and 475 Ω·cm, respectively. Fibre tenacity reduced to 30–50% of a standard viscose; however, it was sufficient to allow processing of the material in standard textile operations. A fibre blend of the conductive viscose fibres with polyester fibres was used to produce a needle-punched nonwoven material with piezo-electric properties, which was used as a pressure sensor in the very low pressure range of 400–1000 Pa. The durability of the sensor was demonstrated in repetitive load/relaxation cycles. As a regenerated cellulose fibre, the carbon-black-incorporated cellulose fibre is compatible with standard textile processing operations and, thus, will be of high interest as a functional element in future wearables. 相似文献

Flexible and reliable thermoelectric generators (TEGs) will be essential for future energy harvesting sensors. In this study, we synthesized p- and n-type SiGe layers on a high heat-resistant polyimide film using metal-induced layer exchange (LE) and demonstrated TEG operation. Despite the low process temperature (<500 °C), the polycrystalline SiGe layers showed high power factors of 560 µW m−1 K−2 for p-type Si0.4Ge0.6 and 390 µW m−1 K−2 for n-type Si0.85Ge0.15, owing to self-organized doping in LE. Furthermore, the power factors indicated stable behavior with changing measurement temperature, an advantage of SiGe as an inorganic material. An in-plane π-type TEG based on these SiGe layers showed an output power of 0.45 µW cm−2 at near room temperature for a 30 K temperature gradient. This achievement will enable the development of environmentally friendly and highly reliable flexible TEGs for operating micro-energy devices in the future Internet of Things. 相似文献

Due to the small difference between the thermal expansion coefficients of silica optical fiber and silica glass, they are used as probe materials of optical fiber acoustic wave sensors. According to the light absorption characteristics of a pressure-sensitive silica diaphragm and silica glass, the laser welding of an all-silica Fabry–Perot (FP) interference optical fiber acoustic wave sensor with a CO2 laser is proposed. For understanding the influence of thermal expansion of sealing air in an FP cavity and the drift of interference-intensity demodulation working point of a FP interference acoustic wave sensor, we designed a process for the laser welding of an ultra-thin silica diaphragm and sleeve and optical fiber and sleeve. The exhaust hole of the FP cavity is reserved in the preparation process, and an amplified spontaneous emission light source and a tunable optical-fiber FP filter are introduced to stabilize the working point. The sensor is tested with a 40 kHz sound vibration signal. The results show that the sound pressure sensitivity of the sensor to an acoustic source of 0.02–0.1 W/cm2 is 6.59 mV/kPa. The linearity coefficient is 0.99975, indicating good linearity. 相似文献

Lingual pressure generation plays a crucial role in oropharyngeal swallowing. To more discretely study the dynamic oropharyngeal
system, a 3-bulb array of pressure sensors was designed with the Kay Elemetrics Corporation (Lincoln Park, NJ). The influence
of the device upon normal swallowing mechanics and boluses representative of flow relative to age and bolus condition was
the focus of this study. Twelve healthy adults in two age groups (31 ± 5 years, 2 males and 4 females, and 78 ± 7 years, 2
males and 4 females) participated. Each subject was instructed to swallow four boluses representative of conditions with and
without three pressure sensors affixed to the hard palate. Postswallow residue at four locations, Penetration/Aspiration Scale
scores, and three bolus flow timing measures were assessed videofluoroscopically with respect to age and bolus condition.
The only statistically significant influences attributable to the presence of the pressure sensors were slight increases in
residue in the oral cavity and upper esophageal sphincter with some bolus consistencies, 8% more frequent trace penetration
of the laryngeal vestibule predominantly with effortful swallowing, and variances in oral clearance duration. We conclude
that the presence of the pressure sensors does not significantly alter normal swallowing patterns of healthy individuals.

A novel strategy to fabricate a hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) sensor was developed by using platinum (Pt) electrodes modified with multi-wall carbon nanotube-platinum nanoparticle nanohybrids (MWCNTs/Pt nanohybrids). The process to synthesize MWCNTs/Pt nanohybrids was simple and effective. Pt nanoparticles (Pt NPs) were generated in situ in a potassium chloroplatinate aqueous solution in the presence of multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), and readily attached to the MWCNTs convex surfaces without any additional reducing reagents or irradiation treatment. The MWCNT/Pt nanohybrids were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the redox properties of MWCNTs/Pt nanohybrids-modified Pt electrode were studied by electrochemical measurements. The MWCNTs/Pt-modified electrodes exhibited a favorable catalytic ability in the reduction of H2O2. The modified electrodes can be used to detect H2O2 in the range of 0.01–2 mM with a lower detection limit of 0.3 μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The sensitivity of the electrode to H2O2 was calculated to be 205.80 μA mM−1 cm−2 at working potential of 0 mV. In addition, the electrodes exhibited an excellent reusability and long-term stability as well as negligible interference from ascorbic acid, uric acid, and acetaminophen. 相似文献

A Low-Cost,Portable, and Wireless In-Shoe System Based on a Flexible Porous Graphene Pressure Sensor
Monitoring gait patterns in daily life will provide a lot of biological information related to human health. At present, common gait pressure analysis systems, such as pressure platforms and in-shoe systems, adopt rigid sensors and are wired and uncomfortable. In this paper, a biomimetic porous graphene–SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) pressure sensor (PGSPS) with high flexibility, sensitivity (1.05 kPa−1), and a wide measuring range (0–150 kPa) is designed and integrated into an insole system to collect, process, transmit, and display plantar pressure data for gait analysis in real-time via a smartphone. The system consists of 16 PGSPSs that were used to analyze different gait signals, including walking, running, and jumping, to verify its daily application range. After comparing the test results with a high-precision digital multimeter, the system is proven to be more portable and suitable for daily use, and the accuracy of the waveform meets the judgment requirements. The system can play an important role in monitoring the safety of the elderly, which is very helpful in today’s society with an increasingly aging population. Furthermore, an intelligent gait diagnosis algorithm can be added to realize a smart gait monitoring system. 相似文献

To realize continuous real-time monitoring of the large-scale internal strain field of coal and rock mass, a bidirectional strain sensor based on FBGs encapsulated using a hollow cylindrical steel tube was designed. The sensor’s structural parameters were optimized through unidirectional loading, and the strain change laws of the sensor were analyzed under unidirectional and bidirectional loading conditions, in which the stress-strain fitting curves of the sensor and the relationships of the strain in the vertical and horizontal directions were obtained under different lateral pressure loading conditions. A similar theoretical model was established to verify the accuracy of the linear relationship between the surrounding rock stress and the strain measured by the sensor system. 相似文献

With the popularity of electric vehicles, the ever-increasing demand for high-capacity batteries highlights the need for monitoring the health status of batteries. In this article, we proposed a magnetic imaging technique (MIT) to investigate the health status of power batteries nondestructively. This technique is based on a magnetic sensor array, which consists of a 16-channel high-performance magnetoelectric sensor, and the noise equivalent magnetic induction (NEB) of each channel reaches 3–5 pT/Hz1/2@10 Hz. The distribution of the magnetic field is imaged by scanning the magnetic field variation of different positions on the surface. Therefore, the areas of magnetic anomalies are identified by distinguishing different magnetic field abnormal results. and it may be possible to classify the battery failure, so as to put forward suggestions on the use of the battery. This magnetic imaging method expands the application field of this high-performance magnetoelectric sensor and contributes to the battery’s safety monitoring. Meanwhile, it may also act as an important role in other nondestructive testing fields. 相似文献

An ultrasensitive enzyme-free glucose sensor was facilely prepared by electrodepositing three-dimensional dendritic Cu on a room temperature exfoliated graphite-derived film (RTEG-F). An excellent electrocatalytic performance was demonstrated for glucose by using Cu/RTEG-F as an electrode. In terms of the high conductivity of RTEG-F and the good catalytic activity of the dendritic Cu structures, the sensor demonstrates high sensitivities of 23.237 mA/mM/cm2, R2 = 0.990, and 10.098 mA/mM/cm2, R2 = 0.999, corresponding to the concentration of glucose ranging from 0.025 mM to 1.0 mM and 1.0 mM to 2.7 mM, respectively, and the detection limit is 0.68 μM. In addition, the Cu/RTEG-F electrode demonstrates excellent anti-interference to interfering species and a high stability. Our work provides a new idea for the preparation of high-performance electrochemical enzyme-free glucose sensor. 相似文献

Polymer-modified bentonite and sand mixtures (PMBS) are widely used in the engineering field due to their low cost and low permeability. In this study, different ionic types of polyacrylamides were used to modify bentonite to improve its swelling properties and impermeability. The physicochemical properties of polymer-modified bentonite were characterized by X-ray diffraction, particle size distribution, IR spectroscopy, SEM, and free swell index (FSI) to further demonstrate the successful organic modification of bentonite. To investigate the impermeability mechanism of PMBS from the perspective of osmotic pressure, the colloidal osmotic pressure of bentonite and hydraulic conductivity were compared. The results showed that anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) had the most obvious improvement on the swelling properties of bentonite, and 3% APAM increased the FSI of bentonite from 15 mL/2 g to 41 mL/2 g. With the increase in polymer dosage, the colloidal osmotic pressure of bentonite increased and the hydraulic conductivity of PMBS decreased significantly. The interior of PMBS is equivalent to a highly concentrated bentonite–sand–water system. When the colloidal osmotic pressure in the restricted space is higher than the external hydraulic pressure, it will prevent infiltration from occurring. When the external hydraulic pressure exceeds the high concentration of bentonite colloid osmotic pressure, the hydraulic conductivity may increase rapidly. Therefore, the impermeability of PMBS depends on the colloidal osmotic pressure of bentonite. Finally, it was confirmed that PMBS had a self-healing capacity by simulating damage to PMBS. 相似文献

This study characterized the damage characteristics of carbon fiber composite pressure vessels by the modal acoustic emission (MAE) method. The study showed how to use the extracted damage modal features and established MAE parameters to determine the damage mode of composite pressure vessels. First, the A0 and S0 Lamb modes of the AE signal were split through mode separation, and the time window was selected to establish the MAE characteristic parameters. Subsequently, based on the MAE parameters and the damage mode characteristics established from single damage experiments, a damage mode discrimination method was established. A bending test of carbon fiber composite laminates proved that the modal separation method and the MAE parameters establishment are reasonable and effective. The results from the hydraulic test of the graded loading performed on 20 MPa carbon fiber composite pressure vessels showed the accuracy of the damage mode discrimination method, and the damage state of the pressure vessel could be analyzed using the fiber fracture damage threshold according to the MAE parameters. 相似文献

In the study, an acoustic sensor for a high-resolution acoustic microscope was fabricated using zinc oxide (ZnO) piezoelectric ceramics. The c-cut sapphire was processed into a lens shape to deposit a ZnO film using radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering, and an upper and a lower electrode were deposited using E-beam evaporation. The electrode was a Au thin film, and a Ti thin film was used as an adhesion layer. The surface microstructure of the ZnO film was observed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), the thickness of the film was measured using a focused ion beam (FIB) for piezoelectric ceramics deposited on the sapphire wafer, and the thickness of ZnO was measured to be 4.87 μm. As a result of analyzing the crystal growth plane using X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, it was confirmed that the piezoelectric characteristics were grown to the (0002) plane. The sensor fabricated in this study had a center frequency of 352 MHz. The bandwidth indicates the range of upper (375 MHz) and lower (328 MHz) frequencies at the −6 dB level of the center frequency. As a result of image analysis using the resolution chart, the resolution was about 1 μm. 相似文献

Based on the manual of macroporous noise-reducing asphalt pavement design, the indoor main drive pavement function accelerated loading test system was applied to investigate the impact of speed, loading conditions (dry and wet) and structural depth on the noise reduction of macroporous Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC) pavement, as well as its long-term noise reduction. Combined with the noise spectrum of the weighted sound pressure level, the main components and sensitive frequency bands of pavement noise under different factors were analyzed and compared. According to experimental results, the noise reduction effect of different asphalt pavements from strong to weak is as follows: OGFC-13 > SMA-13 > AC-13 > MS-III. The noise reduction effect of OGFC concentrates on the frequency of 1–4 kHz when high porosity effectively reduces the air pump effect. As the effect of wheels increases and the depth of the road structure decreases, the noise reduction effect of OGFC decreases. It indicates the noise reduction performance attenuates at a later stage, similar to the noise level of densely graded roads. 相似文献

In the present study, we investigated the relationship between blood pressure (BP) and pulse transit time (PTT) and evaluated
the accuracy of the PTT-based cuffless BP estimation on 14 normotensive subjects. Least-squares regression was used to estimate
BP in the first test and a repeatability test carried out half year later. BP in the repeatability test was also estimated
using the regression coefficients in the first test. The results illustrated that in the first and repeatability tests (1)
arterial BP increased and PTT decreased acutely after the exercises and (2) systolic BP was highly correlated with PTT. In
the repeatability test, the estimation differences from the references were 0.0 ± 5.3 mmHg and 0.0 ± 2.9 mmHg for systolic
and diastolic BPs respectively using least-squares regression. However, the estimation differences increased to 1.4 ± 10.2 mmHg
and 2.1 ± 7.3 mmHg for systolic and diastolic BPs, respectively when the regression coefficients in the first test were used
for prediction. In summary, reasonable BP estimations were given in the first and repeatability tests but not using the regression
coefficients obtained 6 months ago for some subjects. 相似文献
