Members of the Sydney Blood Bank Cohort (SBBC) have been infected with an attenuated strain of HIV-1 with a natural nef/LTR mutation and have maintained relatively stable CD4+ T lymphocyte counts for 14-18 years. Flow cytometric analysis was used to examine the phenotype of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes in these subjects, including the immunologically important naive (CD45RA+CD62L+), primed (CD45RO+), and activated (CD38+HLA-DR+ and CD28-) subsets. The median values were compared between the SBBC and control groups, comprising age-, sex-, and transfusion-matched HIV-1-uninfected subjects; transfusion-acquired HIV-1-positive LTNPs; and sexually acquired HIV-1-positive LTNPs. Members of the SBBC not only had normal levels of naive CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes, but had primed CD45RO+ CD4+ T lymphocytes at or above normal levels. Furthermore, these primed cells expressed markers suggesting recent exposure to specific antigen. SBBC members exhibited variable activation of CD8+ T lymphocytes. In particular, SBBC members with undetectable plasma HIV-1 RNA had normal levels of activated CD8+ T lymphocytes. Therefore, the result of long-term infection with natural nef/LTR mutant HIV-1 in these subjects suggests a decreased cytopathic effect of attenuated HIV-1 on susceptible activated CD4+ T lymphocyte subsets in vivo, and minimal activation of CD8+ T lymphocytes.  相似文献

A significant percentage of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1)-infected persons treated with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) will develop plasma HIV-1-specific virion RNA levels <50 copies/mL. HIV-1-infected persons receiving virally suppressive HAART were studied with a viral outgrowth assay of the patients' peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), and a quantitative polymerase chain reaction assay was used to analyze HIV-1 2-long terminal repeat (2-LTR) circular DNA in PBMC, which indicates new HIV-1 infections of cells in vivo. Viral outgrowth in vitro correlated inversely with the level of peripheral blood CD4(+) T lymphocytes. Detection and quantitation of 2-LTR circular DNA correlated strongly with viral outgrowth patterns and inversely with CD4(+) T lymphocyte counts. Relevant subgroups of HIV-1-infected subjects on suppressive HAART with residual viral disease and reservoirs can now be stratified.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To determine the long-term T-lymphocyte response to highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) and to define predictors of the immunological response. DESIGN: Cohort study, including 135 HIV-1-infected subjects at a city general practice who commenced HAART between 1996 and 1998. METHODS: Collection of plasma HIV-1 RNA, CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocyte data at 3-6 monthly time intervals over 2 years. RESULTS: Seventy-three subjects (54%) achieved suppression of plasma HIV-1 RNA to levels below 400 copies/ml during the observation period, 31 individuals (23%) had detectable plasma HIV-1 RNA below 10,000 copies/ml and 31 subjects (23%) had virological failures with viral loads above 10,000 copies/mL. Median CD4+ T lymphocytes increased from 246 to 463 x 10(6) cells/l, showing a median rise of 20 x 10(6) cells/l per month in the first 3 months and 7 x 10(6) cells/l per month thereafter. The proportion of individuals who reached CD4+ cell counts above 500 x 10(6) cells/l increased from 8% at baseline to 54% at 2 years. Treatment-na?ve individuals, subjects with a large reduction of HIV-1 RNA or a large early CD8+ increase had better early CD4+ responses. Long-term CD4+ T-cell increases were inversely correlated with mean plasma HIV-1 RNA levels. Baseline CD4+ T-cell count was the most important determinant of reaching CD4+ cell counts above 500 x 10(6) cells/l. Nineteen per cent of subjects had no further CD4+ T-cell increases in the second year of therapy despite undetectable viral load. CONCLUSIONS: Immune reconstitution is a slow process, showing a large individual variability. The virological response to HAART was the most important determinant of the immunological short- and long-term response.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: We examined the effect of an HIV-1-specific immune-based therapy on cell-associated HIV-1 DNA and RNA. DESIGN: Five HIV-1-infected subjects receiving HIV-1 immunogen plus HAART were compared with three HIV-1-infected subjects who received incomplete Freund's adjuvant (IFA) plus HAART. METHODS: Cell-associated HIV-1 RNA or DNA in lymphocytes and monocytes was determined using a dual immunophenotyping/in situ hybridization assay with or without in situ PCR amplification. RESULTS: Cell-associated HIV-1 RNA in CD4 cells correlated with plasma RNA overall. CD4, HIV-1 gag-pol messenger (m)RNA+ cells decreased in the immunogen plus HAART group compared with the IFA plus HAART group. Decreases in HIV-1 DNA+ CD4 cells were observed in the immunogen plus HAART compared with the IFA plus HAART group. Decreases in HIV-1 gag-pol mRNA+ monocytes were observed in the immunogen plus HAART group compared with the IFA plus HAART group. Consistent with the findings in CD4 cells, decreases in HIV-1 DNA+ monocytes were observed in the immunogen plus HAART group compared with the IFA plus HAART group. CONCLUSIONS: These preliminary observations support the rationale for examining the combination of immune-based therapies and antiretroviral drugs for effective HIV-1 control.  相似文献

It has been demonstrated that human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) replication persists in most infected individuals receiving highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). However, studies addressing the relationship between low levels of ongoing viral replication and immunologic parameters, such as the CD4+:CD8+ T cell ratio, in such individuals have been lacking. Here, a statistically significant inverse correlation is shown between the frequency of CD4+ T cells carrying HIV-1 proviral DNA and the CD4+:CD8+ T cell ratio in infected individuals receiving HAART and in whom plasma viremia had been suppressed below the limit of detection for prolonged periods of time. No correlation was found between the frequency of HIV-1-specific cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocytes (CTLs) and the CD4+:CD8+ T cell ratios in those individuals. These data suggest that persistent, low-level, ongoing viral replication, although not sufficient to maintain HIV-1-specific CTL responses, may explain, in part, why normalization of the CD4+:CD8+ T cell ratio is not achieved in some infected individuals successfully treated with HAART.  相似文献

Immune activation associated with HIV infection declines after highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), but may persist or recur in some patients. It is not clear whether this reflects a resurgence of HIV replication or another cause of immune activation, such as inflammatory reactions to opportunistic pathogens (immune restoration disease [IRD]). Here, we studied plasma and cellular immune activation markers in adult HIV-1 patients who had received HAART for >12 months and maintained plasma HIV RNA levels of <400 copies/ml for >6 months. Plasma interleukin 1 receptor antagonist and tumor necrosis factor receptor I levels were similar in patients and HIV-negative control subjects, but the highest levels occurred mainly in patients with a history of IRD. In contrast, expression of HLA-DR and CD38 on monocytes and of HLA-DR on CD8(+) T cells was higher in patients than in control subjects. Thus, cellular markers of immune activation are abnormal in some patients with a good virological response to HAART, and abnormalities of plasma immune activation markers correlate with a history of IRD.  相似文献

One hundred twenty-three subjects with documented HIV-1 primary infection were followed for over a year; 96 received highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) at recruitment; 27 declined treatment. Fifty uninfected subjects served as baseline controls. HIV-1 viral load, CD4 and CD8 T cell numbers, and serologic changes to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6), human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8), and cytomegalovirus (CMV) were monitored. Although responses to HAART varied, herpesvirus reactivation frequencies did not differ relative to HIV-1 virologic responses. Forty-seven subjects had reactivations to a single herpesvirus type and 12 subjects to > or =2 types; no single herpesvirus dominated. Antibody seroprevalence to EBV, HHV-6, and CMV were similar but HHV-8 infection was twice as prevalent in HIV-1-infected vs. uninfected individuals. Notably, lower HIV-1 viremia (7,313 vs. 55,548 geometric mean RNA copies/ml) at baseline was significantly associated with HHV-8 seropositivity (p < 0.004).  相似文献

The establishment of reservoirs of latently infected cells is thought to contribute to the persistence of HIV-1 infection in the host. Studies so far have mainly focused on the long-lived reservoir of HIV-infected resting CD4+ T cells. A discrete population of HIV-infected CD4-/CD8- double negative (DN) T cells has recently been shown to exist and may also play a role in HIV-1 persistence. DN T cells are CD3 positive, either TCRalphabeta or TCRgammadelta positive, but lack both CD4 and CD8 surface markers. We developed a novel, magnetic bead column-based cell fractionation procedure for isolating >99% pure DN T cells. CD4+, CD8+, and DN T cells were purified from 23 samples of a cohort of 18 HIV-1-infected patients. Each cell fraction was analyzed for levels of total and integrated HIV-1 DNA. A correlation was observed between the presence of HIV-1 DNA in the DN T cell fraction and plasma viral load (VL). Using a micrococulture technique, we saw an initial release of virus from DN T cells of a patient with high VL. Analysis of env and nef sequence data suggested that the HIV-1 present in CD4+ and DN T cells originated from a common infecting strain. Different from the published literature, we have demonstrated the presence of HIV-1 DNA in DN T cells only in patients who are experiencing HAART failure. While these cells may have a limited role in viral persistence in high VL patients, our results suggest DN T cells are unlikely to be a major reservoir in patients on HAART with clinically undetectable plasma viral RNA.  相似文献

Although highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) in the form of triple combinations of drugs including protease inhibitors can reduce the plasma viral load of some HIV-1-infected individuals to undetectable levels, it is unclear what the effects of these regimens are on latently infected CD4+ T cells and what role these cells play in the persistence of HIV-1 infection in individuals receiving such treatment. The present study demonstrates that highly purified CD4+ T cells from 13 of 13 patients receiving HAART with an average treatment time of 10 months and with undetectable (<500 copies HIV RNA/ml) plasma viremia by a commonly used bDNA assay carried integrated proviral DNA and were capable of producing infectious virus upon cellular activation in vitro. Phenotypic analysis of HIV-1 produced by activation of latently infected CD4+ T cells revealed the presence in some patients of syncytium-inducing virus. In addition, the presence of unintegrated HIV-1 DNA in infected resting CD4+ T cells from patients receiving HAART, even those with undetectable plasma viremia, suggests persistent active virus replication in vivo.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1 infection allows recovery of CD4 T lymphocytes. Few studies have explored the long-term T-lymphocyte responses to HAART. METHODS: Plasma HIV-1 RNA levels and CD4 and CD8 T-lymphocyte counts were longitudinally analyzed over 4 years in 2235 participants of the Swiss HIV Cohort, commencing HAART between 1996 and 1997. The CD4 T-lymphocyte count increase, the percentage of individuals with a CD4 T-lymphocyte count of 500/microL or greater and less than 200/microL, and the determinants of CD4 T-lymphocyte recovery were evaluated in individuals treated with continuous (CONT; n = 985) and discontinuous (DISCONT; n = 1250) HAART. RESULTS: At 4 years, 69.5% of subjects (CONT, 84.5%; DISCONT, 53.6%; P<.001) showed HIV-1 RNA levels below 400 copies/mL, while the median CD4 T-lymphocyte count increased from 190/microL to 423/microL (CONT, 486/microL; DISCONT, 343/microL; P<.001). Of the 2235 participants, 38.8% (CONT, 47.7%; DISCONT, 29.4%; P<.001) reached a CD4 T-lymphocyte count of 500/microL or greater, but in 15.6%, CD4 T-lymphocyte count remained below 200/microL (CONT, 5.9%; DISCONT, 25.9%; P<.001). Larger increases in CD4 T-lymphocyte count were associated with higher baseline HIV-1 RNA, a larger percentage of undetectable HIV-1 RNA levels, lower baseline CD8 T-lymphocyte count, and younger age. Individuals reaching a CD4 T-lymphocyte count of 500/microL or greater at 4 years were characterized by higher nadir and baseline CD4 T-lymphocyte counts and a more sustained reduction of HIV-1 RNA levels. CONCLUSIONS: At 4 years, only 39% of individuals treated with HAART reached a CD4 T-lymphocyte count of 500/microL or greater, and 16% with CD4 T-lymphocyte counts less than 200/microL remained susceptible to opportunistic infections. Treatment interruptions, a poor virologic response, and older age were the major factors negatively affecting the recovery of CD4 T lymphocytes.  相似文献

目的 观察国内艾滋病病毒 (HIV)感染者 /艾滋病 (AIDS)患者外周血CD38、HLA DR分子在CD+4 、CD+8T淋巴细胞上表达的变化 ,并探讨这些变化的临床意义。方法 用流式细胞仪检测 5 1例正常对照、14例HIV感染者和 3 6例AIDS患者的外周血CD+4 、CD+8T淋巴细胞表面的CD38、HLA DR分子的表达 ,用分枝DNA(bDNA)法检测 11例HIV感染者和 18例AIDS患者的血浆病毒载量。结果 CD+4 HLA DR+细胞百分比显示 ,AIDS组显著高于正常组及HIV组 ;CD+8HLA DR+T细胞百分比显示HIV组与AIDS组间无差异 ,而它们均显著高于正常组。CD+8、CD38+细胞百分比则是AIDS组 >HIV组 >正常组 ,CD+8CD38+、CD+8HLA DR+、CD+4 HLA DR+细胞百分比与病毒载量显著正相关。结论 在HIV感染过程中 ,HLA -DR+、CD38+在CD+4 、CD+8T淋巴细胞上的表达均显著增加 ,反映T淋巴细胞异常激活 ;尤其是CD+8CD38+细胞百分比随着疾病进展逐渐升高 ,预示疾病进展程度。在评价HIV感染者和AIDS患者的免疫状况时 ,不仅要考虑免疫细胞数量和功能的变化 ,还应考虑免疫细胞的激活水平  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Although untreated human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients maintaining undetectable plasma HIV RNA levels (elite controllers) have high HIV-specific immune responses, it is unclear whether they experience abnormal levels of T cell activation, potentially contributing to immunodeficiency. METHODS: We compared percentages of activated (CD38(+)HLA-DR(+)) T cells between 30 elite controllers, 47 HIV-uninfected individuals, 187 HIV-infected individuals with undetectable viremia receiving antiretroviral therapy (antiretroviral therapy suppressed), and 66 untreated HIV-infected individuals with detectable viremia. Because mucosal translocation of bacterial products may contribute to T cell activation in HIV infection, we also measured plasma lipopolysaccharide (LPS) levels. RESULTS: Although the median CD4(+) cell count in controllers was 727 cells/mm(3), 3 (10%) had CD4(+) cell counts <350 cells/mm(3) and 2 (7%) had acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. Controllers had higher CD4(+) and CD8(+) cell activation levels (P < .001 for both) than HIV-negative subjects and higher CD8(+) cell activation levels than the antiretroviral therapy suppressed (P = .048). In controllers, higher CD4(+) and CD8(+) T cell activation was associated with lower CD4(+) cell counts (P = .009 and P = .047). Controllers had higher LPS levels than HIV-negative subjects (P < .001), and in controllers higher LPS level was associated with higher CD8(+) T cell activation (P = .039). CONCLUSION: HIV controllers have abnormally high T cell activation levels, which may contribute to progressive CD4(+) T cell loss even without measurable viremia.  相似文献

In contrast to adults, there is no information about children concerning the effects of the new antiretroviral therapy on the chronic activation and expansion of CD8+ T cells. We have investigated the relationship between blood CD8(+) T cell subsets, with percent CD4+ cells (%CD4), percent CD8+ cells (%CD8), and plasma viral load (VL), in 39 vertically HIV-1-infected children receiving highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) (mean age, 7.6 years; range, 2-15.6 years). CD8+ subsets were examined by three-color multiparametric flow cytometry, and VL was quantified by standard assays. There was a strong positive correlation between activated CD8+ T cells and VL. An increase in memory and memory-activated CD8+ T cells correlated with increased VL, whereas nonactivated memory cells and CD28+ CD8+ T cells correlated negatively with VL. Naive and effector cells did not correlate with VL, although the CD8+ CD45RA -CD62L- subset correlated with increased VL. Activated CD8(+) T cells did not correlate with %CD4, but an increase in memory-activated and effector CD8+ T cells was associated with lower %CD4. Increased naive CD8+ and CD28 +CD8+ T cells showed a positive correlation with %CD4 and a negative correlation with %CD8. In conclusion, in HIV-1-infected children receiving HAART, the activation of CD8+ T cells is associated with high VL, whereas CD8 +CD28+ and nonactivated CD8+ memory cells are associated with lower viral load. Naive CD8+ and CD28 +CD8+ T cells are associated with an improved immunological status.  相似文献

The role of T cell immunity in virus control during chronic infection was examined in 79 human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1)-infected subjects randomized to receive antiretroviral therapy. HIV-1 p24-specific responses were detected in 20% of the subjects at baseline, increasing to 28% of the subjects at weeks 16-24. Induction of virologic suppression was associated with lower plasma HIV-1 RNA levels and a higher percentage of Fas+ CD8+ T cells at baseline, whereas maintenance of suppression was associated with higher CD4+ T cell counts and, marginally, with a higher percentage of Fas+ CD4+ T cells at weeks 16-24. These findings indicate that Fas coexpression on T cells, in addition to plasma HIV-1 RNA levels and CD4+ T cell counts, may predict virologic outcome.  相似文献

The fear of malevolent use of variola virus by terrorists has led to the implementation of a health care worker vaccination program and to the consideration of vaccination for the general public. However, due to concerns about side effects of the classical smallpox vaccine, especially for immunocompromised individuals, a safer vaccine is urgently needed. We characterized the immunogenicity of modified vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA), one of the more promising alternative smallpox vaccines, in a cohort of 10 chronically HIV-1-infected individuals undergoing highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). Nine subjects received smallpox vaccination as children while one subject was never vaccinated against smallpox. All the subjects had CD4 counts >400 cells/mm(3) and 8 out of 10 had undetectable viral loads. MVA was able to elicit humoral and cellular immune responses in the majority of individuals. Vaccinia-specific antibodies were mainly of the IgG class while T cells specific to vaccinia were predominantly CD8(+). The immune responses were maintained over 1 year. Similar vaccinia specific humoral immune responses were observed when our cohort of HIV-1-infected individuals was compared to smallpox-vaccinated healthy subjects. The observed immune responses suggest that the highly attenuated MVA could be used as a substitute vaccine against smallpox in chronically HIV-1-infected individuals undergoing HAART.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: To examine whether polyclonal activation of circulating B cells, in a process that involves CD40-CD40 ligand and cytokine interactions, could induced HIV-1-specific memory B cells to synthesize HIV-1-specific antibodies. METHODS: B cells from 26 HIV-1-infected patients were cultured with a CD40L-transfected cell line plus interleukins 2 and 10 and tested for their secretion of HIV-1- and Toxoplasma gondii-specific antibodies. RESULTS: In vitro activated B lymphocytes from HIV-1-infected patients secreted anti-HIV-1-specific antibodies. B cells from HIV-1-infected patients as well as those from controls chronically infected by T. gondii synthesized T. gondii-specific antibodies. HIV-1-specific IgG-, IgA- or IgM-secreting B cells represented approximately 1 x 10(-4) to 1 x 10(-5) of total circulating B cells and 1 x 10(-2) to 1 x 10(-3) of immunoglobulin-secreting cells. HIV-1-specific memory B cells were found in 9/9 untreated patients and in 8/17 patients receiving highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). The other nine patients showed a normal CD40-CD40L B cell response and six of them produced T. gondii-specific antibody B cells. The follow-up of seven patients indicated that HIV-1-specific memory B cells became undetectable after 8 to 46 months of HAART, whereas T. gondii-specific memory B cells persisted in parasite coinfected patients. CONCLUSIONS: Circulating memory HIV-1-specific B cells were detected in untreated patients and in about half of the patients taking HAART, suggesting that persistent low-level ongoing viral replication is not sufficient to maintain HIV-1-specific memory B cells.  相似文献

Dendritic cells (DCs) are potent antigen-presenting cells, and their physiological localization in tissues that interact with the external environment is important as a first barrier against pathogens such as human immunodeficiency virus type I (HIV-1). Several models have been proposed to explain the possible role of DCs as a reservoir for HIV-1 in patients on virally suppressive highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). However, the low yield of cell isolates has made this evaluation a difficult task. The present study analyzes whether peripheral blood DCs from HIV-1-infected individuals on virally suppressive HAART, with plasma HIV-1 RNA levels of less than 50 copies/ml, carry either HIV-1 provirus and/or HIV-1 virions. Peripheral blood DCs were isolated from a cohort of 10 HIV-1-seropositive men taking suppressive HAART. In five patients, plasmacytoid and myeloid dendritic cells were isolated to attempt to identify their respective roles in HIV-1 residual disease. Viral out-growth assays were performed in vitro, as well as gag and R/U5 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification of viral RNA and DNA, respectively, from DC and peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) extracts. Fluorescence activated cell-sorting (FACS) data revealed cellular yields from 85.90 to 95.18%, of relatively pure DCs isolated from patients' PBMCs. Although HIV-1 RNA gag and DNA RU/5 were detected in all PBMC samples isolated from the patients, proviral DNA and viral RNA forms were not detected in any of the DC isolates. In addition, no replication-competent virus was demonstrated in DC coculture assays, while virus was isolated from each patients' CD8+ T-lymphocyte-depleted PBMC cocultures. Furthermore, HIV-1 gag proviral DNA was not detected in either plasmacytoid or myeloid DC subfractions. The current study suggests that in HIV-1-infected individuals treated with suppressive HAART, peripheral blood DCs do not carry HIV-1 proviral DNA or viral particles attached to their surface. These populations of peripheral blood DCs are likely not a major HIV-1 reservoir in patients on HAART with clinically undetectable plasma viral RNA.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Immunological and virological consequences of low-level viremia in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1-infected patients receiving highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) remain to be determined. METHODS: For 24 months, 101 HAART-treated, HIV-1-infected patients with HIV RNA levels 20 copies/mL at >/=1 visit (dVL patients) (median increase, 81 copies/mL [interquartile range, 37-480 copies/mL]). dVL patients had higher concentrations of CD8 cells, activated and memory T cells, and proviral DNA, compared with uVL patients (P<.05). A higher HIV RNA level was independently associated with reduced CD4 gain (P<.001). A higher HIV RNA level also was associated with increases in activated CD8(+)CD38(+) and CD8(+)HLA-DR(+) cells (P<.05), and a higher level of activated CD8(+)CD38(+) cells was independently associated with reduced CD4 gain (P<.05). A higher proviral DNA level was associated with increases in CD4(+)CD45RA(-)CD28(-) effector cells and reductions in naive CD4(+)CD45RA(+)CD62L(+) and CD8(+)CD45RA(+)CD62L(+) cells (P<.05). Higher levels of activated CD4(+)HLA-DR(+) and early differentiated CD4(+)CD45RA(-)CD28(+) cells predicted increased risk of subsequent detectable viremia in patients with undetectable HIV RNA (P<.05). BACKGROUND: We wished to determine the safety and anti-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1 activity of single doses of TNX-355, a humanized IgG4 anti-CD4 monoclonal antibody with potent activity against HIV-1 in vitro, in HIV-infected subjects. METHODS: Sequential cohorts of 6 HIV-1-infected subjects each received infusions of TNX-355. Data included plasma HIV-1 RNA level, CD4+ T cell count, TNX-355 coating of CD4+ T cells, and serum TNX-355 levels. RESULTS: Dose-related reductions in plasma HIV-1 RNA loads correlated with complete CD4+ T cell coating by TNX-355. Peak median decreases in plasma HIV-1 RNA loads were 0.56, 1.33, and 1.11 log10 copies/mL and occurred on days 4-7, 14, and 21 for the 3.0, 10, and 25 mg/kg doses, respectively. Dose-dependent increases in CD4+ T cell count occurred within 24 h of dosing. CONCLUSIONS: Single doses of TNX-355 reduced plasma HIV-1 RNA loads and increased CD4+ T cell counts in HIV-infected subjects. The further assessment of therapeutic potential awaits data from longer-duration trials.  相似文献
