BACKGROUND: There is growing interest in the immune-stimulating effect and in particular, the anti-allergic effect, of lactic acid bacteria (LAB). However, no comprehensive studies have been done that compare the immune-stimulating potential of LAB strains. METHODS: The in vitro immune-stimulating effects on Th1/Th2 balance of more than 100 LAB strains were compared in splenocytes from ovalbumin-sensitized Th2-polarized mice. The in vivo anti-allergic ability of strain KW3110 was studied in the Th2-polarized model by detecting serum IgE concentration, Th1/Th2 cytokine secretion from splenocytes, and the expression of co-stimulatory molecules on macrophages. RESULTS: In vitro studies from Th2-polarized splenocytes, using IL-12 as a Th1 parameter and IL-4 secretion as a Th2 parameter revealed a wide variety of IL-12-inducing and IL-4-repressing activities, depending on the strain of LAB, not depending on the species. However, evaluation of individual strains in vivo revealed that after exposure to Lactobacillus paracasei KW3110 strain, the serum IgE elevation elicited by repeated OVA injection of mice was strongly inhibited. Cytokine secretion from splenocytes 20 weeks after KW3110 administration showed increased IL-12 and decreased IL-4 expression. Both CD40 and B7-1 expression on macrophages was upregulated by administration of KW3110. CONCLUSIONS: Improving the consequences of the Th1/Th2 imbalance by administration of LAB was dependent upon the LAB strain rather than the LAB species. Oral KW3110 administration in the mouse allergy model directed the Th1/Th2 balance toward Th1 through the maturation of APCs and inhibition of serum IgE elevation.  相似文献

Programmed death-1 ligand 2 (PD-L2) is a ligand for programmed death-1 (PD-1), a receptor that plays an inhibitory role in T cell activation. Since previous studies have shown up-regulation of PD-L2 expression by Th2 cytokines, and asthma is driven by a Th2 response, we hypothesized that PD-L2 might be involved in regulation of the immune response in this disease. We have found that lungs from asthmatic mice had sustained up-regulation of PD-1 and PD-L2, with PD-L2 primarily on dendritic cells. Although addition of PD-L2-Fc in vitro led to decreased T cell proliferation and cytokine production, administration of PD-L2-Fc in vivo in a mouse asthma model resulted in elevated serum IgE levels, increased eosinophilic and lymphocytic infiltration into bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, higher number of cells in the draining lymph nodes, and production of IL-5 and IL-13 from these cells. Although PD-1 was expressed on regulatory T cells, PD-L2-Fc did not affect regulatory T cell activity in vitro. This study provides in vivo evidence of an exacerbated inflammatory response following PD-L2-Fc administration and indicates a potential role for this molecule in Th2-mediated diseases such as asthma.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: It is well known that the immunoregulatory cytokine interleukin (IL)-10 inhibits the accessory function of human dendritic cells (DC) in vitro. Recently, we have shown that these IL-10 DC inhibit the production of T helper cell 1 (Th1) and T helper cell 2 (Th2) cytokines by T cells from atopic individuals in vitro. The current study was set out to analyze whether IL-10 DC also exert inhibitory effects in vivo in a murine model of allergy to ovalbumin adsorbed to the adjuvant aluminium hydroxide (OVA/alum). METHODS: OVA-pulsed or unpulsed bone marrow-derived DC, treated with IL-10 or left untreated during generation, were injected intravenously into BALB/c mice prior to and during OVA/alum sensitization, and sera and immune responses of mesenterial lymph node cells were analyzed. Additionally, bronchoalveolar lavage was performed after intranasal challenge with OVA. RESULTS: Treatment of BALB/c mice with OVA-pulsed DC led to a significantly enhanced proliferation as well as Th2 (IL-4, IL-5), Th1 (interferon-gamma) and IL-10 cytokine production after restimulation of lymph node cells with OVA in vitro compared with OVA immunization alone. In contrast, using OVA-pulsed IL-10 DC for transfer, proliferation and cytokine production by lymph node cells were not enhanced. OVA-specific immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) and IgG2a production were significantly increased after transfer of OVA-pulsed DC and OVA-pulsed IL-10 DC, respectively, whereas anti-OVA IgE production and airway eosinophilia remained unchanged. CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicate that IL-10 treatment of DC decreases the Th1 and Th2 stimulatory capacity of DC but does not actually inhibit systemic (IgE) and local (airway inflammation) allergen-specific immune responses in a murine model of allergy.  相似文献

The effect on antigen (Ag)-specific Th2 response as well as IgE production of continuous oral administration of micro-doses of Ag was investigated. Transgenic (Tg) mice carrying the α β-T cell receptor (TCR) genes specific for ovalbumin (OVA) peptide fragment 323 – 339 were continuously fed with micro-doses of OVA (100 μg/day) for 14 days. Mice were first immunized by OVA in alum and pertussis toxin 7 days before the oral feeding and given a second immunization 1 day after the oral treatment. This feeding regimen tolerized Th2 but not Th1 responses as shown by decrease of Ag-driven cell proliferation and cytokine secretion of IL- 4 but not of IL-2 or IFN-γ as well as by the absence of Ag-specific antibody production of IgE and IgG1, but not of IgG2a or total IgG. Numbers of clonotype-specific TCR-high CD4-positive T cells in peripheral lymphoid tissues markedly decreased in the orally treated group but not in the control group. However, total numbers of CD4-positive T cells in thymus, spleen and lymph nodes were not affected by the oral treatment, indicating that tolerance induction in Th2 cells was mainly due to the down-regulation of TCR and not clonal deletion. The population of antigen-presenting cells expressing B7-2 (CD86) Ag on the surface was decreased in the spleen of the mice which underwent the feeding regimen. The present results suggest that Ag-specific low responsiveness in Th2 cells, which resulted in suppres sion of the Ag-specific IgE production, can be achieved by continuous feeding with microdoses of Ag.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Sublingual immunotherapy has been recently used for allergic diseases, but its mechanisms are still unclear. OBJECTIVE: To examine the effect of sublingual administration of a native or denatured allergen alone or plus adjuvant on systemic T(H)2 responses and mucosal immunity in mice. METHODS: Naive or sensitized BALB/c mice were sublingually vaccinated biweekly for 3 weeks with ovalbumin (OVA) or urea-denatured OVA (CM-OVA) only or plus adjuvant CpG oligodeoxynucleotides (CpG) or cholera toxin (CT). Two weeks later, their specific serum IgG, IgG1, IgG2a, IgE, and saliva secretory IgA (SIgA) antibody responses and the cytokine profiles of spleen and cervical lymph node cells were investigated. RESULTS: Specific SIgA antibody responses were induced by vaccination with CM-OVA plus CpG or CT. Whereas vaccination with CM-OVA and CpG enhanced T(H)1 responses but inhibited IgE production, vaccination with CT and CM-OVA or OVA increased cervical lymph node cell production of interleukin (IL) 4, IL-5, and IL-6 and serum IgG1 antibody responses. In previously sensitized mice, sublingual vaccination with OVA or CM-OVA plus CT or CpG stimulated mucosal SIgA antibody responses, but did not enhance ongoing IgE antibody responses. CONCLUSIONS: Sublingual vaccination with OVA or CM-OVA plus adjuvant CT or CpG all can induce systemic and mucosal immunity, but CM-OVA plus CpG had the best prophylactic and therapeutic effects on IgE antibody production. It is likely that sublingual vaccines may have a role for the prophylaxis and immunotherapy of allergic reactions.  相似文献

Interleukin-10 was originally described as a factor that inhibits cytokine production by murine Th1 clones. Recent studies have since shown that IL-10 can also downregulate Th2 clones and their production of IL-4 and IL-5. Because of its immuno-suppressive properties, IL-10 has been suggested as a potential therapy for allergic inflammation and asthma. However, the pathophysiological role of IL-10 in vivo has not been clearly elucidated. We investigated the effects of IL-10 administration on the production of IgE, cytokine and allergen-induced Th2 cytokine production as well as its effects on eosinophilic inflammation. We established GATA-3/TCR double transgenic (GATA-3/TCR-Tg) mice by crossing GATA-3 transgenic mice with ovalbumin (OVA)-specific TCR transgenic mice; these mice were then sensitized using an intraperitoneal injection of OVA adsorbed to alum and challenged with the intratracheal instillation of an allergen. When GATA-3/TCR-Tg mice sensitized with OVA and alum were injected with C57-IL-10 cells before OVA inhalation, the levels of IL-5, IL-13, and IL-4 decreased by 40-85% and number of eosinophils decreased by 70% (P < 0.03) in the murine bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). These results suggest that IL-10 plays an important role downstream of the inflammatory cascade in the Th2 response to antigens and in the development of BALF eosinophilia and cytokine production in a murine model of asthma. These immunosuppressive properties in animal models indicate that IL-10 could be a potential clinical therapy for the treatment of allergic inflammation.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Different subsets of dendritic cells (DCs), identified in mouse spleen by their differential expression of CD8 alpha, can induce different T-helper (Th) responses after systemic administration. CD8 alpha(-) DCs have been shown to preferentially induce Th type 2 (Th2) responses whereas CD8 alpha(+) DCs induce Th1 responses. OBJECTIVE: To study if these DC subsets can still induce different Th responses in the Th2-prone milieu of the lung and differentially prime for eosinophilic airway inflammation, typical of asthma. METHODS: Donor mice first received daily Flt3L injections to expand DC numbers. Purified CD8 alpha(+) or CD8 alpha(-) splenic DCs were pulsed with ovalbumin (OVA) or phosphate-buffered saline and injected intratracheally into recipient mice in which carboxyfluorescein diacetate succinimidyl ester-labelled OVA-specific T cell receptor transgenic T cells had been injected intravenously 2 days earlier. T cell proliferation and cytokine production of Ag-specific T cells were evaluated in the mediastinal lymph nodes (MLNs) 4 days later. The capacity of both subsets of DCs, to prime for eosinophilic airway inflammation was determined by challenging the mice with OVA aerosol 10 days later. RESULTS: CD8 alpha(-) DCs migrated to the MLN and induced a vigorous proliferative T cell response accompanied by high-level production of IL-4, IL-5, IL-10 and also IFN-gamma during the primary response and during challenge with aerosol, leading to eosinophilic airway inflammation. In the absence of migration to the MLN, CD8 alpha(+) DCs still induced a proliferative response with identical levels of IFN-gamma but reduced Th2 cytokines compared with CD8 alpha(-) DCs, which led to weak eosinophilic airway inflammation upon OVA aerosol challenge. Unpulsed DCs did not induce proliferation or cytokine production in Ag-specific T cells. CONCLUSION: CD8 alpha(-) DCs are superior compared with CD8 alpha(+) DCs in inducing Th2 responses and eosinophilic airway inflammation in the Th2-prone environment of the lung.  相似文献

Sublingual immunotherapy has been applied for allergic diseases, but whether sublingual immunization in neonates can prevent sensitization has not been studied. In this study, we evaluate the effect of neonatal sublingual vaccination with native or denatured allergens alone or plus adjuvant on allergy prevention. Newborn BALB/ c mice were sublingually vaccinated daily for the first 3 days with native or denatured ovalbumin (OVA) only, or combined adjuvant CpG or cholera toxin (CT). They were sensitized with OVA adsorbed onto alum 7 weeks after the last vaccination. Specific secretory IgA antibody responses were readily induced by neonatal vaccination with antigen plus CpG or CT, but not with antigen alone. Whereas vaccination with denatured OVA plus CpG markedly enhanced T helper 1 (Th1) responses and inhibited IgE production, vaccination with denatured OVA plus CT increased cervical lymph node cell production of interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-5, IL-6, and serum IgG1 responses. These data demonstrate that neonatal sublingual vaccination with denatured OVA and CpG not only preferentially induces systemic Th1 responses and mucosal immunity, but also simultaneously abrogates IgE production. Neonatal sublingual vaccines may play a role for the strategy of allergy prevention.  相似文献

The development of T helper (Th)2 responses is a key step in the pathogenesis of asthma. Interleukin (IL)-4 is thought to be important, although not strictly necessary, for Th2 differentiation, although triggers of IL-4-independent Th2 polarization have not been identified. We examined whether IL-4 is necessary for Th2-polarized responses during granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF)-driven respiratory mucosal sensitization. Balb/c wild type (WT) or IL-4 knockout (4KO) mice were exposed to aerosolized ovalbumin (OVA) in the context of airway GM-CSF expression. We examined the extent of Th2 polarization using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction on lymph node mRNA, flow cytometric analysis of lung Th cells, and measurement of cells, cytokines, and immunoglobulins in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) and serum. GATA-3 and CCR3, -4, and -8 were expressed in the lymph nodes of WT and 4KO mice at similar levels, as were IL-5 and IL-13 levels in the BAL, T1/ST2 on lung Th cells, and BAL eosinophils after recall challenge. With the exception of immunoglobulin production, expression of GATA-3, CCR-3, -4, -8, IL-5, and T1/ST2, and the generation of blood eosinophilia, were intact in mice doubly deficient in both IL-4 and IL-13. We conclude that IL-4 is not required for the generation of Th2-polarized responses in the presence of GM-CSF.  相似文献

Background Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) has been established in humans as a safe and efficacious treatment for type I respiratory allergies. Objective In this study, we compared three Toll‐like receptor (TLR) 2 ligands (Pam3CSK4, Porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide and lipoteichoic acid) as potential adjuvants for sublingual allergy vaccines. Methods These molecules were tested in co‐cultures of adjuvant‐pre‐treated dendritic cells (DCs) with murine naïve CD4+ T lymphocytes. Patterns of cytokine production, phenotype, proliferation and gene expression were analysed by ELISA, cytofluorometry and quantitative PCR, respectively. TLR2 ligands were subsequently tested in a model of SLIT in BALB/c mice sensitized with ovalbumin (OVA). Results Among the three TLR2 ligands tested, the synthetic lipopeptide Pam3CSK4 is the most potent inducer of IL‐12p35 and IL‐10 gene expression in murine bone marrow‐derived DCs, as well as in purified oral myeloid DCs. Only Pam3CSK4‐treated DCs induce IFN‐γ and IL‐10 secretion by naïve CD4+ T cells. Sublingual administration of Pam3CSK4 together with the antigen in BALB/c mice sensitized to OVA decreases airway hyperresponsiveness as well as OVA‐specific T‐helper type 2 (Th2) responses in cervical lymph nodes dramatically. Conclusion Pam3CSK4 induces Th1/regulatory T cell responses, and as such, is a valid candidate adjuvant for sublingual allergy vaccines.  相似文献

It has been postulated that low-level interleukin (IL)-12 production of antigen-presenting cells is associated with the risk of developing atopic asthma. To study the relationship between IL-12 production capacity of dendritic cells (DCs) and development of T helper type 2 (Th2) responses in the lung, we genetically engineered DCs to constutively overexpress bioactive IL-12. Retrovirally mediated overexpression of IL-12 in DCs strongly polarized naive ovalbumin (OVA)-specific CD4+ T cells toward Th1 effector cells in vitro. After intratracheal injection, OVA-pulsed IL-12-overexpressing DCs failed to induce Th2 responses in vivo and no longer primed mice for Th2-dependent eosinophilic airway inflammation upon OVA aerosol challenge, readily observed in mice immunized with sham-transfected, OVA-pulsed DCs. Analysis of a panel of cytokines and chemokines in the lung demonstrated that the lack of Th2 sensitization was accompanied by increased production of the Th1 cytokine interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma), chemokines induced by IFN-gamma, and the immunoregulatory cytokine IL-10. When Th2 priming was induced using OVA/alum prior to intratracheal DC administration, DCs constitutively expressing IL-12 were no longer capable of preventing eosinophilic airway inflammation and even enhanced it. These data show directly that high-level expression of IL-12 in DCs prevents the development of Th2 sensitization. Enhancing IL-12 production in DCs should be seen as a primary prevention strategy for atopic disorders. Enhancing IL-12 production in DCs is less likely to be of benefit in already Th2-sensitized individuals.  相似文献

Dietary administration of ovalbumin (OVA) antigen (Ag) into OVA-specific T cell receptor alphabeta-transgenic (TCR-Tg) mice resulted in the induction of activated CD4+ Th cells expressing CD69 early activation Ag. However, the number of CD4+ Th cells rather decreased by dietary administration of OVA antigen. The production of Th1-cytokines such as IFN-gamma and IL-2 markedly reduced in spleen of OVA-fed mice compared to mice fed with normal diet. In sharp contrast, the production of Th2-cytokine, IL-4 greatly increased in spleen of OVA-fed mice though the number of CD4+ T cells decreased to less than 10% of control mouse spleen. The decrease of IFN-gamma production and the increase of IL-4 production by CD4+ T cells was demonstrated at a single cell level by intracellular cytokine staining analysis. Moreover, such a polarized cytokine production pattern was also demonstrated using highly purified CD4+ T cells obtained from mice fed with OVA. In addition to the decrease of Th1-cytokine production, TCR-Tg mice fed with OVA-containing diet showed greatly reduced in vivo generation of NK cells, LAK cells and CTL. These results suggested that dietary protein antigen caused the polarization of Th1/Th2 balance into Th2-dominant immunity and inhibited cellular immunity.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Correcting Th1/Th2 imbalance with administration of IL-12 before and during antigen challenge holds therapeutic promise in asthma. However, the effects of IL-12 on the established asthmatic responses have not fully been examined. OBJECTIVE: We investigated whether IL-12 administered after antigen challenge could diminish airway hyper-reactivity (AHR) and eosinophilia in mice actively sensitized to ovalbumin. We also have investigated the ability of administered IL-12 to induce IL-18 receptor (IL-18R) expression that may lead possible synergic action of IL-12 with endogenous IL-18. METHODS: C57BL/6 mice immunized to ovalbumin (OVA) by intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection, were challenged three times with an aerosol of OVA every second day for 8 days. Recombinant IL-12 (500 ng) was intravenously administered on a single occasion 1 h after the final challenge of mice. Mice were analysed for effects of IL-12 on AHR, inflammatory cell infiltration and cytokine levels in lung tissue as well as serum immunoglobulin (Ig) E levels. Immunohistochemistry for IL-18R was performed using rat monoclonal antibody specific for murine IL-18Ralpha (IL-1 receptor related protein; IL-1Rrp). RESULTS: An intravenous IL-12 administration diminished AHR, pulmonary eosinophilia and T lymphocyte infiltration, serum IgE, IL-4 and IL-13 in lung tissue. Expression of IL-18R was induced in the mononuclear cells in the lung of mice exposed to OVA. IL-12 administration enhanced the IL-18R expression compared with the control. CONCLUSION: These data indicate that IL-12 can attenuate established antigen-induced AHR and inflammation. In this mechanism it would be interpreted as follows: IL-12 administration in OVA-challenged mice decreased IL-4 production and IgE production thereafter through direct effect on inhibiting the activation of established Th2 cells response and also combined effect with up-regulation of IL-18R expression by inflammatory cells in the lung.  相似文献

Invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells play important immunoregulatory functions in allergen‐induced airway hyperresponsiveness and inflammation. To clarify the role of iNKT cells in allergic rhinitis (AR), we generated bone marrow‐derived dendritic cells (BMDCs), which were pulsed by ovalbumin (OVA) and α‐galactosylceramide (OVA/α‐GalCer‐BMDCs) and administered into the oral submucosa of OVA‐sensitized mice before nasal challenge. Nasal symptoms, level of OVA‐specific immunoglobulin (IgE), and T helper type 2 (Th2) cytokine production in cervical lymph nodes (CLNs) were significantly ameliorated in wild‐type (WT) mice treated with OVA/α‐GalCer‐BMDCs, but not in WT mice treated with OVA‐BMDCs. These anti‐allergic effects were not observed in Jα18–/– recipients that lack iNKT cells, even after similar treatment with OVA/α‐GalCer‐BMDCs in an adoptive transfer study with CD4+ T cells and B cells from OVA‐sensitized WT mice. In WT recipients of OVA/α‐GalCer‐BMDCs, the number of interleukin (IL)‐21‐producing iNKT cells increased significantly and the Th1/Th2 balance shifted towards the Th1 dominant state. Treatment with anti‐IL‐21 and anti‐interferon (IFN)‐γ antibodies abrogated these anti‐allergic effects in mice treated with α‐GalCer/OVA‐BMDCs. These results suggest that activation of iNKT cells in regional lymph nodes induces anti‐allergic effects through production of IL‐21 or IFN‐γ, and that these effects are enhanced by simultaneous stimulation with antigen. Thus, iNKT cells might be a useful target in development of new treatment strategies for AR.  相似文献

The role of interleukin (IL)-4 in the activity of two frequently used vaccine adjuvants, Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) and the aluminum hydroxide gels (alum), was studied using the standard antigen ovalbumin (OVA) in IL-4 genedisrupted mice (IL-4 -/-). In the absence of adjuvant, there was an overall reduction in antibody production to OVA in IL-4 −/− mice and significantly greater amounts of interferon (IFN)-γ were produced following restimulation of splenocytes with antigen in vitro compared with immunocompetent controls (IL-4 +/+). FCA and alum boosted the immune response to OVA in both IL-4 −/− and IL-4 +/+ mice. In IL-4 +/+ mice, while FCA stimulated a wide-spectrum immunoglobulin response, including both Th1-associated IgG2a and Th2-associated IgG1, alum enhanced only Th2 antibody production and no OVA-specific IgG2a could be detected. In IL-4-deficient mice, however, not only was IgG2a production increased in all adjuvant-treated groups, but alum was as potent at stimulating this antibody subclass as FCA. Similarly, increased production in vitro by splenocytes of the Th1 cytokine IFN-γ, equivalent to that produced after inoculation with FCA/OVA, was only detected in IL-4 −/− mice inoculated with alum/OVA. There was no IgE production in IL-4 −/− mice and OVA-specific IgG1 production, although still at significant levels, was reduced compared with wild-type mice irrespective of the adjuvant used. However, although production of the Th2 cytokine IL-5 was totally inhibited in IL-4-deficient mice inoculated with FCA/OVA, there was no significant difference in IL-5 production between the two strains when alum was used as adjuvant.  相似文献

Depressed Th1 responses are a prominent feature of human tuberculosis, but an enhanced Th2 response has not been detected in peripheral blood T cells stimulated in vitro with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In disease due to Mycobacterium leprae, Th2 cells predominate in tissue lesions of patients with extensive disease but are absent from peripheral blood. To determine if Th2 cells are present in tissue lesions of tuberculosis patients, we evaluated patterns of cytokine expression in lymph nodes from tuberculosis patients with or without human immunodeficiency virus infection and in controls without tuberculosis. Gamma interferon and interleukin-10 (IL-10) mRNA expression in tuberculosis patients with or without human immunodeficiency virus infection was high, whereas IL-4 expression in the same patients was low. Immunolabeling studies showed that macrophage production of IL-12 was increased in lymph nodes from tuberculosis patients, that gamma interferon was produced by T cells, and that IL-10 was produced by macrophages rather than Th2 cells. These results indicate that Th2 responses are not enhanced either systemically or at the site of disease in human tuberculosis.  相似文献

Pseudomonas aeruginosa-resistant BALB/c and susceptible C57Bl/6 (B6) mice were immunized with heat-killed Pseudomonas either in the foot pad or via the trachea, and panels of Pseudomonas-specific T cell clones were developed from lymph nodes and lungs. All clones from either strain, whether of lymph node or lung origin, were CD3+CD4+CD8-TCRalphabeta+. The efficacy of cloning from lymph node cells was comparable between BALB/c and B6 mice. All lymph node BALB/c clones proliferated in response to Pseudomonas antigen in a dose-dependent manner, and this response was MHC class II-restricted. Vigorous proliferation by a considerable proportion of B6 T cell clones occurred in the absence of specific antigen. Lymph node clones from either strain could be categorized as either Th1 or Th0 on the basis of interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma)/IL-4 production. In either mouse strain the efficacy of cloning from lung tissue was substantially lower than from lymph nodes, but the efficacy of cloning from BALB/c compared with B6 lungs was higher. Four lung T cell clones from BALB/c and two from B6 mice were expanded for further analyses, and an interstrain difference was observed in cytokine production. Both B6 lung T cell clones were Th1-like and produced IFN-gamma but not IL-4 and IL-10, whereas four BALB/c lung T cell clones were Th2-like and produced IL-4 and IL-10 but not IFN-gamma. These observations suggest that differences in the CD4+ Th response in the lung may contribute to differences among inbred mouse strains in the level of resistance to bronchopulmonary Pseudomonas infection.  相似文献
