A new male incontinence clamp.

The incontinence clamp described requires only half the pressure of other competitive clamps and, therefore, involves only half the risk of damage to the urethra by over compression. Advantages of the clamp include the 2-point ventral urethral compression and the production of an S curve to the urethra. The clamp can be applied without vision.     

A new aortic clamp

To achieve a safe application of the aortic clamp, even under difficult anatomic conditions, a new instrument with detachable shanks was constructed. This aortic clamp minimizes the risk for damage to the caval vein and the renal vessels, especially in emergency situations.     

A new noncrushing intestinal clamp

A field which is free of intestinal content is highly desirable for obvious reasons during the performance of an open anastomosis or the closure of a portion of the intestinal tract. Any device which will block passage of intestinal material may cause local damage or be subject to slippage and accompanying leakage. The instrument described is so designed that it offers maximal efficiency with a minimal possibility of complications.     

The profunda clamp: A new,versatile vascular instrument

A new peripheral vascular clamp, the profunda clamp, is quite versatile and permits increased exposure in limited operating fields. The clamp is particularly useful for vessel control in procedures such as profundaplasty, axillary femoral bypass and carotid endarterectomy.     

A new clamp for end-to-side microvascular anastomosis

A new clamp for use in microvascular end-to-side anastomosis is described. The advantages of the clamp are that the end of the donor vessel is placed precisely over the opening of the recipient vessel without tension, good exposure of the posterior wall is provided, and the tension on the stay sutures is easily adjusted.
