据教育部科技发展中心网站获悉,经高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（科学技术）奖励委员会审核,教育部批准,2012年度高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（科学技术）授奖项目日前已公布。北京协和医学院赵世华教授等“难处理性心外异常分流介入治疗模式的建立和应用”和复旦大学耿道颖教授等“脑重大疾病的CT、MR诊断体系的建立及创新性临床应用”荣获2012年度高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（科学技术）科技进步一等奖。     

四川省医学会老年医学专委会第六次学术年会暨第三届成都金沙老年医学论坛成功举办

2013年8月30日-9月1日，四川省医学会第六次老年医学学术年会暨第三届成都金沙老年医学论坛在成都市绿洲酒店成功举行。四川省卫生厅沈骥厅长、四川省医学会张刚秘书长、四川大学华西医院李为民院长应邀出席开幕式并致辞。中国医师协会老年医学医师分会副主任委员、四川大学华西医院老年医学中心董碧蓉主任主持开幕式。来自全国多个综合性医院老年科、养老机构中从事老年医学临床和基础工作的200余名同仁参会。本次大会共设一个主会场和老年医疗、老年护理两个分会场，共24个专题，内容涉及老年综合征和老年常见医疗问题、老年医疗风险的护理等老年医学问题。会议邀请台北荣民总医院高龄医学中心主任陈亮恭教授、中华医学会老年医学分会候任主任委员于普林教授、卫生部北京老年医学研究所所长黎健教授、中华医学会老年医学分会秘书长徐浩教授及国内老年医学领域30余位权威专家参会并作精彩演讲。护理分会场还邀请刚刚荣获第四十四届南丁格尔奖的四川大学华西医院护理部成翼娟教授到会作了精彩演讲，受到了参会人员的好评。

The authors presented a conference at the 5th National Symposium on Bedsores, or Decubitus Ulcers, and Chronic Injuries which dealt with all the dimensions related to this problem: epidemiological data, economic costs, social repercussions and possible alternative treatments; their goal was to raise the consciousness of nursing professionals so that they realize decubitus ulcers are a public health problem for which a solution exists if nursing professionals so desire.

The author presented a conference at the 5th National Symposium on Bedsores, or Decubitus Ulcers, and Chronic Injuries. In our country there is no specific regulation on the medical-sanitary responsibility regarding decubitus ulcers, or bedsores, and other injuries; rather these regulations are covered by more general legal concepts such as the civil responsibility according to articles 1902 and 1903.4 of the "CC", the patrimonial responsibility the State has for the normal or abnormal functioning of the Sanitary Administration, and penal responsibility.

What is wrong with the 30-year-old practice of scalp cooling for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced hair loss?

Since about 1970 scalp cooling has been used to prevent chemotherapy-induced hair loss, one of the most common and emotionally distressing side effects of cancer therapy. Generally accepted opinions, uncertainty and controversy, topics to study and recommendations for improving the results of scalp cooling are the subjects of this article which was also presented at the MASCC Symposium, June 2003, Berlin.This work was presented as an invited lecture at the 15th International Symposium Supportive Care in Cancer, Berlin, Germany, 18–21 June 2003

Professor Hans Rudolf Brunner Born in 1937, Professor Brunner is a Swiss citizen. He is a Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He has been at the forefront of research on the role of renin and the renin-angiotensin system in blood pressure regulation. He has been involved in the development of drugs such as angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers. He was among the first medical practitioners to introduce the use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors in the treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure. Professor Brunner has been a medical advisor to Speedel since 1999.

What is next in sepsis: current trials in sepsis

17th International Symposium on Infections in the Critically Ill Patient

Barcelona, Spain, 3–4 February 2012

International experts reviewed and updated the most recent and relevant scientific advances on severe sepsis during the 17th International Symposium on Infections in the Critically Ill Patients in Barcelona (Spain) in February 2012. All new pharmacological therapeutic strategies have failed to demonstrate a survival benefit. Despite the large variability among countries and hospitals, the improvement of standard care according to the Surviving Sepsis campaign recommendations reduced the 28-day mortality to 24%. These results may have implications for future clinical trials in which much larger samples sizes of patients at high risk of death will be necessary. The identification of novel proinflammatory endogeneous signals and pathways may lead to the discovery of new drugs to reduce inflammatory reactions and end-organ dysfunction in critically ill patients with sepsis. Extracorporeal blood purification stem or progenitor cells have received increasing interest for the treatment of inflammation and organ injury. A better understanding of how these therapies work is essential and its benefit should be confirmed in future prospective randomized studies.
