Background: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a promising technique for unresectable hepatic malignancies. We reviewed our RFA experience to identify variables affecting local recurrence.Methods: Patients undergoing RFA between 1997 and 2001 were reviewed for demographics, tumor size, pathology, diagnosis, recurrence, procedures, survival, and complications.Results: The 447 unresectable liver tumors were ablated in 198 procedures. The 153 patients averaged 61.9 years of age and 1.25 RFA procedures per patient. Follow-up averaged 11 months. Serial ablations were performed in 28 patients, 8 of whom are without evidence of disease. Tumors were most commonly carcinomas of colorectal, hepatocellular, breast, and melanoma histologies. Colorectal carcinomas and hepatomas individually recurred more frequently than all other tumor types combined in univariate analyses (P = .009 and P = .008, respectively). Patients with multiple tumors ablated recurred significantly more frequently (P = .001). Size was also significant in univariate and multivariate analyses (P = .0032 and &<.0001, respectively). Eighteen patients experienced 36 complications.Conclusions: Size has the highest correlation with local recurrence, but multiple tumors and pathology may also predict local recurrence risk. Large, complex lesions can be safely serially ablated, but because of morbidity and recurrence, RFA should not replace resection as the primary treatment of resectable liver tumors.Presented at the 55th Annual Cancer Symposium of the Society of Surgical Oncology, Denver, Colorado, March 14–17, 2002  相似文献

Background

The isolated occurrence of noncolorectal liver metastases is rare. The available data are inconsistent in terms of indication for surgery, treatment, and outcome, so a generally applicable therapeutic algorithm is currently lacking.

Methods

A total of 162 patients underwent resection for noncolorectal liver metastases between 1978 and 2001. The patients were divided into two groups from different time periods (group 1, 1978–1989; group 2, 1990–2001) that were similar in terms of number of patients, operating surgeons, and surgical techniques used. The groups were compared, and the data were retrospectively analyzed with regard to indication, survival, and factors predictive for survival.

Results

Resection was performed to remove liver metastases from noncolorectal gastrointestinal carcinoma (n = 50), neuroendocrine tumors (n = 12), genitourinary primary tumors (n = 11), breast carcinoma (n = 24), leiomyosarcoma (n = 15), and metastases from other primary cancers (n = 50). Extrahepatic tumor involvement was seen in 38 (23%) of the 162 cases. Sixty-two (38%) major hepatectomies and 100 (62%) minor resections were performed. In 100 (62%) of 162 patients, a curative resection (R0) could be achieved. Overall 2- and 5-year survival rates of 49% and 26%, respectively, were observed, and the median survival was 23 months. Survival was significantly longer in patients who underwent an R0 resection.

Conclusions

In selected patients, resection of noncolorectal liver metastases is associated with a 5-year survival rate of up to 50%. Resection of liver metastases from gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas correlates with a poor prognosis. Extrahepatic metastases may be considered a relative contraindication for liver resection.

Background Preliminary results have shown that percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) may play a useful role in patients with inoperable lung tumors. This series evaluated the prognostic features for survival in nonsurgical candidates who underwent percutaneous RFA of pulmonary metastases from colorectal carcinoma.Methods Fifty-five patients not suitable for surgery underwent percutaneous RFA for colorectal pulmonary metastases. All clinical and treatment-related data were collected prospectively. The primary end point of the study was overall survival, defined from the time of RFA intervention. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify statistically significant prognostic parameters for overall survival.Results The overall median survival was 33 months (range, 4–40 months), with actuarial 1-, 2-, and 3-year survival of 85%, 64%, and 46%, respectively. Univariate analysis demonstrated that largest size of lung metastasis (P < .001), location of lung metastases (P = .032), and repeat percutaneous RFA for pulmonary recurrence (P = .024) were statistically significant for overall survival. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that largest size of lung metastasis >3 cm was independently associated with a reduced overall survival (P = .003).Conclusions Percutaneous lung RFA may play a useful role in nonsurgical candidates with colorectal pulmonary metastases. However, the survival benefit of this interventional procedure for patients with a pulmonary metastasis >3 cm was limited.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To examine recurrence and survival rates for patients treated with hepatic resection only, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) plus resection or RFA only for colorectal liver metastases. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: Thermal destruction techniques, particularly RFA, have been rapidly accepted into surgical practice in the last 5 years. Long-term survival data following treatment of colorectal liver metastasis using RFA with or without hepatic resection are lacking. METHODS: Data from 358 consecutive patients with colorectal liver metastases treated for cure with hepatic resection +/- RFA and 70 patients found at laparotomy to have liver-only disease but not to be candidates for potentially curative treatment were compared (1992-2002). RESULTS: Of 418 patients treated, 190 (45%) underwent resection only, 101 RFA + resection (24%), 57 RFA only (14%), and 70 laparotomy with biopsy only or arterial infusion pump placement ("chemotherapy only," 17%). RFA was used in operative candidates who could not undergo complete resection of disease. Overall recurrence was most common after RFA (84% vs. 64% RFA + resection vs. 52% resection only, P < 0.001). Liver-only recurrence after RFA was fourfold the rate after resection (44% vs. 11% of patients, P < 0.001), and true local recurrence was most common after RFA (9% of patients vs. 5% RFA + resection vs. 2% resection only, P = 0.02). Overall survival rate was highest after resection (58% at 5 years); 4-year survival after resection, RFA + resection and RFA only were 65%, 36%, and 22%, respectively (P < 0.0001). Survival for "unresectable" patients treated with RFA + resection or RFA only was greater than chemotherapy only (P = 0.0017). CONCLUSIONS: Hepatic resection is the treatment of choice for colorectal liver metastases. RFA alone or in combination with resection for unresectable patients does not provide survival comparable to resection, and provides survival only slightly superior to nonsurgical treatment.  相似文献

Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is efficacious against hepatic malignancies by rendering tumors ischemic while delivering high-dose chemotherapy. The added benefit of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has not been determined. We sought to review our experience with TACE with or without RFA in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma and colorectal liver metastases in patients not amenable to resection. TACE and RFA were undertaken in 13 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (n = 7) or colorectal liver metastases (n = 6). Concurrently 24 patients underwent TACE alone for hepatocellular carcinoma (n = 15) or colorectal liver metastases (n = 9). Patients undergoing TACE with or without RFA were similar in age, gender, and diagnosis. Overall follow-up was 9.1 months +/- 7.1. One-year survival was greater in patients undergoing TACE with RFA than with TACE alone (100% vs 67%, P = 0.04). Mean survival was longer after TACE with RFA compared with TACE alone (25.3 months +/- 15.9 vs 11.4 months +/- 7.3, P < 0.05). No patients suffered significant complications. The addition of RFA to TACE improves survival in patients with unresectable primary or metastatic hepatic malignancies. RFA with TACE should be in the armamentarium of surgeons caring for patients with malignant liver lesions.  相似文献

Background We compared outcomes of surgery and radiofrequency thermal ablation (RFA) in patients with metachronous liver metastases. Methods Between October 1995 and December 2005, 59 patients underwent hepatic resection and 30 underwent RFA for metachronous liver metastases. Patients with extra-hepatic metastases, those who underwent both types of treatment, and those with synchronous hepatic metastasis were excluded. Results The two groups had similar mean age, sex ratio, comorbid medical conditions, primary disease stage, and frequency of solitary metastases. Preoperative mean serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level was significantly higher in the RFA group (13.4 ng/mL vs. 7.7 ng/mL; p = 0.02). Mean diameter of hepatic metastases was significantly greater in the resection than in the RFA group (3.1 cm vs. 2.0 cm; p = 0.001). Recurrence after treatment of metastasis was observed in 18 of 30 (60.0%) RFA and 33 of 59 (56%) resection patients. Local recurrence at the RFA site was observed in 7 of 30 (23%) patients. Time to recurrence (15 vs. 8 months, p = 0.02) and overall survival (56 vs. 36 months, p = 0.005) were significantly longer in the resection than in the RFA group. In the 69 patients with solitary metastases of diameter ≤3 cm, time to recurrence (p = 0.004) and overall survival were significantly greater in the resection group. Conclusions Compared with hepatic resection, RFA for metachronous hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer was associated with higher local recurrence and shorter recurrence-free and overall survival rates, even in patients with solitary, small (≤3 cm) lesions.  相似文献

Background

We compared outcomes in patients with solitary colorectal liver metastases treated by either hepatic resection (HR) or radiofrequency ablation (RFA).

Methods

A retrospective analysis from a prospective database was performed on 67 consecutive patients with solitary colorectal liver metastases treated by either HR or RFA.

Results

Forty-two patients underwent HR and 25 patients underwent RFA. The 5-year overall and local recurrence-free survival rates after HR (50.1% and 89.7%, respectively) were higher than after RFA (25.5% and 69.7%, respectively) (P = .0263 and .028, respectively). In small tumors less than 3 cm (n = 38), the 5-year survival rates between HR and RFA were similar, including overall (56.1% vs 55.4%, P = .451) and local recurrence-free (95.7% vs 85.6%, P = .304) survival rates. On multivariate analysis, tumor size, metastases treatment, and primary node status were significant prognostic factors.

Conclusions

HR had better outcomes than RFA for recurrence and survival after treatment of solitary colorectal liver metastases. However, in tumors smaller than 3 cm, RFA can be recommended as an alternative treatment to patients who are not candidates for surgery because the liver metastases is poorly located anatomically, the functional hepatic reserve after a resection would be insufficient, the patient's comorbidity inhibits a major surgery, or extrahepatic metastases are present.  相似文献

目的采用Meta分析评价TACE联合射频消融(RFA)与单纯RFA治疗肝细胞癌(HCC)的疗效及安全性。方法检索2000年1月—2016年11月关于TACE联合RFA与单纯RFA治疗HCC的临床随机对照试验设计的中英文文献,提取纳入研究的信息并行Meta分析。结果共12篇文献入选本研究。Meta分析结果显示,TACE联合RFA组1年、3年总体生存率及1年、3年无瘤生存率均优于单纯RFA治疗组,差异有统计学意义(P均0.05);两组间5年总体生存率差异无统计学意义(P=0.07)。对于肿瘤最大径3cm的HCC,TACE联合RFA组与单纯RFA组1年、3年总体生存率及1年、3年无瘤生存率差异均无统计学意义(P均0.05)。两组间严重并发症发生率差异无统计学意义(P=0.82)。结论 TACE联合RFA治疗HCC的近、中期疗效优于单纯RFA治疗,远期疗效无明显差异。  相似文献

Background The indications and results of intraoperative radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of liver metastases (LMs) are not well defined in the literature and have never been compared with those of hepatectomy. The aim of the study was to appreciate the local recurrence rate of RFA in comparison with anatomic and wedge resection.Methods Eighty-eight patients with technically unresectable LMs were treated with curative intent. The LMs were treated by anatomic resection (40 patients, 213 LMs) when large, by wedge resection (64 patients, 99 LMs) when peripheral and small, and by RFA (88 patients, 227 LMs) when central and small. The median follow-up was 27.6 months (range, 15–74 months), and a total of 539 LMs were treated (median of 5 per patient).Results The local recurrence rates were 5.7% for the 227 RFAs, 7.1% for the 99 wedge resections, and 12.5% for the 40 anatomic resections (P = .216). Local recurrence rates after RFA were correlated with LMs larger than 30 mm (P < .001) and with LMs in direct contact with large vessels (P < .001).Conclusions RFA is as efficient and safe as wedge or anatomic resections in terms of local control.  相似文献

The long-term outcome of radiofrequency thermal ablation (RFA) for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been reported. This study was performed to evaluate the long-term survival of patients with unresectable HCC after RFA and to identify possible factors that might affect survival. In this prospective study, 65 patients with unresectable HCC who underwent RFA were followed. A total of 84 RFA operations were performed percutaneously (n = 49), laparoscopically (n = 20), or by open surgery (n = 15), to ablate 191 tumors. Twenty-two patients died within 16 months; otherwise, the follow-up period was at least 16 months, up to 71 months, with median 20.0 months and mean (± standard deviation) 24.8 ± 18.4 months for all patients. Local tumor recurrence developed in 12 of 191 tumors (6.3%) in 11 of 84 operations (13.1%), or 11 of 65 patients (16.9%). New liver and/or extrahepatic recurrence developed in 48 operations (57.1%). The overall median, mean, and 5-year survivals were 40.0 months, 33.7 ± 2.9 months, and 39.9%. The disease-free survivals were 16.0 month, 32.9 ± 3.0 months, and 27.9%. Factors that had a significant effect on survival outcome after RFA were TNM cancer stage and the operative approach method employed for RFA. Age, gender, race, etiology, alpha-fetoprotein, previous or subsequent treatment, and liver function (Child-Pugh class) did not affect survival. For patients with unresectable HCC, RFA is an effective and repeatable local treatment that can afford long-term survival, although often with disease recurrence.  相似文献

Resection of liver colorectal metastases allows a 5-year survival in 25% to 35% of patients. The outcome of patients with noncolorectal metastases is unknown because of the heterogeneity of this group. The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate predictive factors of survival in patients who underwent resection of noncolorectal and nonneuroendocrine (NCRNE) liver metastases. From 1980 to 1997, 284 patients underwent hepatectomy for liver metastases of whom 39 (25 men and 14 women, mean age 55 years) had curative resection for NCRNE liver metastases. No patients had extrahepatic disease. The primary tumors were gastrointestinal (n = 15), genitourinary (n = 12) and miscellaneous (n = 12). The mean number of metastases was 1.8, and the mean size of the lesions was 51 mm. The median disease-free interval was 27 months. Twenty patients had a major hepatectomy and 19 a minor resection, with simultaneous resection of the primary in 6 cases. Overall survival was evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier method. There was no operative mortality, and 8% morbidity. The survival at 1, 3, and 5 years was 81, 40, and 35%, respectively. Patients with a disease-free interval higher than 24 months had a greater survival rate than those with a disease-free interval of less than 24 months (100% vs. 10%; p = 0.0004). Survival was not significantly influenced by age, sex, type of primary tumor, number, size and localization of metastases, type of hepatectomy, or blood transfusion. Resection of NCRNE liver metastases should be justified for patients without extrahepatic disease and resectable metastases, especially for those who have a disease-free interval of more than 24 months.  相似文献

Background

Liver resection and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) are two surgical options in the treatment of patients with colorectal liver metastases (CLM). The aim of this study was to analyze patient characteristics and outcomes after resection and RFA for CLM from a single center.

Methods

Between 2000 and 2010, 395 patients with CLM undergoing RFA (n = 295), liver resection (n = 94) or both (n = 6) were identified from a prospective IRB-approved database. Demographic, clinical and survival data were analyzed using univariate and multivariate analyses.

Results

RFA patients had more comorbidities, number of liver tumors and a higher incidence of extrahepatic disease compared to the Resection patients. The 5-year overall actual survival was 17 % in the RFA, 58 % in the Resection group (p = 0.001). On multivariate analysis, multiple liver tumors, dominant lesion >3 cm, and CEA >10 ng/ml were independent predictors of overall survival. Patients were followed for a median of 20 ± 1 months. Liver and extrahepatic recurrences were seen in 69 %, and 29 % of the patients in the RFA, and 40 %, and 19 % of the patients in the Resection group, respectively.

Conclusions

In this large surgical series, we described the characteristics and oncologic outcomes of patients undergoing resection or RFA for CLM. By having both options available, we were able to surgically treat a large number of patients presenting with different degrees of liver tumor burden and co-morbidities, and also manage liver recurrences in follow-up.  相似文献

目的 探讨壶腹周围癌术后局部复发的治疗方法.方法 回顾分析1997年1月至2007年5月23例壶腹周围癌术后复发病例的治疗,其中3例行再手术切除,5例剖腹探查术中行射频消融,10例行高强度聚焦超声热疗,5例行区域性动脉灌注化疗.结果 本组壶腹周围癌术后局部复发再手术切除率为13%.2例术后生存期分别为10个月和13个月,另1例术后至今6个月仍无瘤生存.20例通过射频消融、高强度聚焦超声热疗及区域性动脉灌注化疗后症状均有不同程度地缓解.结论 对于壶腹周围癌术后局部复发患者,再次手术切除有助于减轻症状,延长生存期;对不能手术者,可选择射频消融、高强度聚焦超声热疗和区域性动脉灌注化疗治疗.  相似文献

Background The prognosis of unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer might be improved if a radical surgical resection of metastases could be performed after a response to chemotherapy. Methods We treated 74 patients with unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer (not selected for a neoadjuvant approach) with irinotecan, oxaliplatin, and 5-fluorouracil/leucovorin (FOLFOXIRI and simplified FOLFOXIRI). Because of the high activity of these regimens (response rate, 72%), a secondary curative operation could be performed in 19 patients (26%). Results Four patients underwent an extended hepatectomy, nine patients underwent a right hepatectomy, three patients underwent a left hepatectomy, and three patients had a segmental resection. In five patients, surgical removal of extrahepatic disease was also performed. In seven patients, surgical resection was combined with intraoperative radiofrequency ablation. The median overall survival of the 19 patients who underwent operation is 36.8 months, and the 4-year survival rate is 37%. The median overall survival of the 34 patients who were responsive to chemotherapy, but who did not undergo operation, is 22.2 months (P = .0114). Conclusions The FOLFOXIRI regimens we studied have significant antitumor activity and allow a radical surgical resection of metastases in patients with initially unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer not selected for a neoadjuvant approach and also those with extrahepatic disease. The median survival of patients with resected disease is promising.  相似文献

目的探讨经皮超声引导下射频消融(RFA)治疗胃癌肝转移的疗效及预后因素。方法回顾性分析55例接受经皮超声引导下RFA治疗的胃癌肝转移患者临床及影像学资料,观察评价患者总体生存率及预后影响因素。结果55例(102个病灶)胃癌肝转移患者1、2、3、5年总体生存率分别为70.45%、42.90%、20.32%及10.16%。RFA治疗后1个月,肿瘤灭活率94.12%(96/102),肿瘤局部复发率15.69%(16/102),肝内新生转移灶发生率52.73%(29/55)。单因素分析示年龄(P=0.015)、肿瘤数目(P=0.011)、RFA前是否有肝外转移(P=0.026)、RFA后是否化疗(P=0.031)是影响患者生存的重要因素。多因素分析示年龄(P=0.033)、肿瘤数目(P=0.004)、RFA后是否化疗(P=0.001)是独立预后因素。RFA治疗后严重并发症的发生率为1.82%(1/55),未发生治疗相关性死亡。结论经皮超声引导下RFA是一种安全、有效的胃癌肝转移治疗方式,年龄、肿瘤数量、RFA后联合化疗是影响患者预后的独立因素。  相似文献

Treatment of four or more colorectal liver metastases (CRLMs) is controversial and remains a relative contraindication to surgery at some institutions. We sought to assess the outcome of patients with four or more CRLMs treated with surgery. Patients (159) with four or more CRLMs were treated surgically at a single institution. The median number of treated lesions was 5 (range, 4–14). The majority of patients received neoadjuvant chemotherapy (89.9%). Forty-six (29.0%) patients underwent resection only, 12 (7.5%) underwent radiofrequency ablation (RFA) only, and 101 (63.5%) underwent resection plus RFA. The 5-year actuarial disease-free and overall survival rates were 21.5% and 50.9%, respectively. Patients who underwent RFA as part of their surgical procedure (hazard ratio [HR] =1.81, P =0.03) and those with a positive surgical resection margin (HR=1.52, P =0.01) were more likely to have a shorter time to recurrence. Patients who did not have a reduction in tumor size following neoadjuvant chemotherapy had a higher likelihood of death following surgical treatment (HR=2.53, P =0.01). Patients with four or more CRLMs should be considered for aggressive surgical treatment, including liver resection with or without RFA, in order to improve the chance of long-term survival. Certain clinicopathologic factors, including lack of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, were associated with a worse prognosis. Background: This retrospective study was performed to assess the outcome among patients who underwent hepatic resection or tumor ablation after hepatic artery infusion (HAI) therapy downstaged previously unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or liver metastases from colorectal cancer (CRC).Methods: Between 1983 and 1998, 25 patients with HCC and 383 patients with hepatic CRC metastases were treated with HAI therapy for unresectable liver disease. We retrospectively reviewed the records of 26 (6%) of these patients who underwent subsequent surgical exploration for tumor resection or ablation.Results: At a median of 9 months (range 7–12 months) after HAI treatment, four patients (16%) with HCC underwent exploratory surgery; two underwent resection with negative margins, and the other two were given radiofrequency ablation (RFA) because of underlying cirrhosis. At a median postoperative follow-up of 16 months (range 6–48 months), all four patients were alive with no evidence of disease. At a median of 14.5 months (range 8–24 months) after HAI therapy, 22 patients with hepatic CRC metastases underwent exploratory surgery; 10 underwent resection, 6 underwent resection and RFA or cryotherapy, and 2 underwent RFA only. At a median follow-up of 17 months, 15 (83%) of the 18 patients with CRC who had received surgical treatment had developed recurrent disease; the other 3 died of other causes (1 of postoperative complications) within 7 months of the surgery. One patient in whom disease recurred underwent a second resection and was disease-free at 1 year follow-up.Conclusions: Hepatic resection or ablation after tumor downstaging with HAI therapy is a viable option for patients with unresectable HCC. However, given the high rate of recurrence of metastases from CRC, hepatic resection or ablation after downstaging with HAI should be used with caution.Presented at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Society of Surgical Oncology, New Orleans, Louisiana, March 16–19, 2000.  相似文献

Hepatic Resection for Metastatic Renal Tumors: Is It Worthwhile?   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Background: Liver metastases of malignant renal tumors are regarded as having an ominous prognosis because they are infrequently amenable to radical surgery and respond poorly to chemotherapy. Little is known of the outcome of isolated metastases to the liver for which resection is potentially curative.Methods: Data on 14 patients with liver metastases from renal tumors who underwent a liver resection in a single center between 1982 and 2001 were analyzed retrospectively.Results: There was no operative or postoperative mortality. The median survival was 26 months, with a survival rate of 69% at 1 year and 26% at 3 years. The curative pattern of hepatectomy (2-year survival, 69% vs. 0%; P = .001), an interval between the nephrectomy and the diagnosis of liver metastases in excess of 24 months (2-year survival, 71% vs. 25%; P = .05), tumor size <50 mm (2-year survival, 83% vs. 17%; P = .006), and the possibility of achieving a repeat hepatectomy in the case of recurrence (2-year survival, 100% vs. 21%; P = .02) were associated with a better outcome after the liver resection. Four patients were alive without evidence of disease at 6, 12, 26, and 96 months after the first hepatic resection, and one was alive with hepatic recurrence 18 months after resection.Conclusions: In patients with liver metastases of malignant renal tumors, an aggressive policy for achieving tumor eradication seems to offer a chance for long-term survival, especially after a long disease-free interval from the nephrectomy. However, despite an aggressive policy for achieving tumor eradication, recurrence frequently occurs after liver resection.  相似文献

Background: Limited data from recent studies suggested an increased risk of bleeding complications, needle-track seeding, and local recurrence after radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of subcapsular hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Methods: Between May 2001 and October 2002, 80 patients underwent RFA of 104 HCC nodules. Forty-eight patients had subcapsular HCC (group I), whereas the other 32 patients did not have subcapsular HCC (group II). RFA was performed via celiotomy, laparoscopy, or a percutaneous approach. Subcapsular HCCs were ablated by indirect puncture through nontumorous liver, and the needle track was thermocoagulated.Results: There were no significant differences between groups in treatment morbidity (14.6% vs. 15.6%; P = .898), mortality (2.1% vs. 0%; P = 1.000), complete ablation rate after a single session (89.4% vs. 96.9%; P = .392), local recurrence rate (4.3% vs. 12.5%; P = .216), recurrence-free survival (1 year: 60.9% vs. 49.2%; P = .258), or overall survival (1 year: 88.3% vs. 79.4%; P = .441). After a median follow-up of 13 months, no needle-track seeding or intraperitoneal metastasis was observed.Conclusions: This study shows that the results of RFA for subcapsular HCCs are comparable to those of RFA for nonsubcapsular HCCs. Subcapsular HCC should not be considered a contraindication for RFA treatment.  相似文献
