Cryoprecipitate and thrombin were used to prevent bleeding and induce permanent conjunctival attachment in ten cases of retinal detachment, 40 cases of extracapsular cataract extraction, and ten cases of strabismus. This method proved to be a good alternative to suturing the conjunctiva in each of the above-mentioned surgical procedures, and appears to result in a better and more comfortable postoperative course.  相似文献

The results of closure of various types of postoperative thoracic fistulas with two-component fibrin sealant in 5 patients are presented. The use of a new technique for the noninvasive closure of bronchial fistulas with fibrin sealant is also described. This paper reports the results of experimental research of anastomosing peripheral nerves by fibrinogen glue. In research of 80 sciatic nerves of 40 rats, taking epineurial suture as a control, we welded the nerves by domestic glue or Tissu-col from abroad separately to make an evaluation and survey of nerve conduct speed and gastrocnemius weight and the histology and ultrastructure. It has demonstrated that this is a more practical method for nerve repair.  相似文献

Summary Human fibrin glue (Tissucol) is a plasma-derived compound endowed with adhesive and hemostatic properties and possessing a specific local anti-infection function mediated through activation of nonspecific immunity elements. The aim of this study is to show that in patients who have undergone prolonged reconstructive plastic surgery following cancer resection, Tissucol decreases infectious complications as compared to a control group. Between June 1985 and February 1988, 51 subjects were treated with fibrin glue during reconstruction operations. Analysis of the results showed that Tissucol produced a statistically significant reduction both of immediate complications, such as inflammation and partial separation of the surgical wound, and of delayed complications, such as scar hypertrophy and cutaneous fistulae. In conclusion, patients treated with Tissucol showed a better quality of surgical wound, a more rapid postoperative functional recovery and consequently a decrease in the duration of hospitalization.  相似文献

The data on use of fibrin glue (FG) in 215 patients operated on the abdominal organs, employing laser surgical techniques, are presented. In 132 patients, the complicated forms of gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, in 25--gastric cancer, in 24--colonic tumors, in 26--injuries to the liver were revealed. Considerable reduction in incidence of early postoperative complications as compared with that in patients operated on with the use of conventional techniques was noted.  相似文献

We have investigated the feasibility of applying fibrin glue to liver injuries using laparoscopic guidance and have examined the gross and microscopic changes that occurred in hepatic lacerations treated with fibrin glue. These studies indicate that fibrin glue may be effectively applied to liver injuries using laparoscopic control, hepatic bleeding may be rapidly controlled when fibrin glue is applied into the base of the wound, there is no gross or microscopic evidence of hepatic toxicity related to the use of fibrin glue, and healing of liver lacerations treated by fibrin glue occurs by ingrowth of granulation tissue coupled with fibrinolysis of the fibrin glue.  相似文献

The authors report the results of a comparative experimental nerve study, using a biologic tissue glue (fibrin) and a synthetic glue (2-cyanoacrylate) in a rat model. A tension-free repair is necessary with the use of fibrin glue, or gapping may occur, thus limiting the use of the agent in promoting re-neurotization. In addition, the human origin of fibrin and thrombin allow for the possibility of viral transmission. The aim of the study was to verify if the synthetic glue is a viable alternative, or whether it causes cellular and tissue lesions. Their main finding was that the cyanoacrylate causes a foreign-body inflammatory reaction and retractile fibrosis, often reducing the nerve diameter up to two-thirds. Cyanoacrylate glue is thus not recommended for peripheral nerve repair.  相似文献

To enhance the adhesive property of fibrin glue, two techniques were developed. The first is an improvement of the conventional layer method, and the second is a further improvement of the first technique. Their adhesive properties were tested in canine lungs in two phases. In phase 1 of the experiment, two new techniques were compared with the conventional methods in the retrieved lung. In phase 2 of the experiment, the second technique examined how its adhesive properties changed after treatment comparing them with gelatin-resorcinol-formaldehyde-glutaraldehyde (GRFG) glue. In phase 1, the first technique showed a 3-fold enhancement of the adhesive properties as compared with the conventional methods, and with the second technique the adhesive properties were further improved by more than 2-fold in the retrieved canine lung. In phase 2, it was revealed that the bursting pressure of both the second new technique and GRFG glue was eventually equal, and enough to close the cut surface of the lung. In the clinical setting, two techniques showed a safe and satisfactory performance in closing the cut surface of the lung. Due to the low toxicity of fibrin glue and absorbable material, these two techniques, especially the second technique, provide better circumstances for the healing of lung injury.  相似文献

There is little doubt that preserving the spleen will contribute to a much more favourable outcome in patients undergoing splenic surgery, as a result of avoiding the well known risks of splenectomy. Among many operative methods described for splenic salvage, application of autologous fibrin glue (AFG) is particularly promising because of its unique characteristics. The use of AFG has been evaluated and its efficacy and tissue compatibility assessed in the treatment of splenic trauma in 15 partially splenectomized New Zealand White rabbits. The application of the AFG to the resected splenic surface achieved complete haemostasis in all animals. The animals were divided into four groups and were killed at varying intervals ranging from 24 h to 10 weeks. During re-exploration there was no evidence of recurrent bleeding and histopathological examination revealed progressive absorption of the AFG with a minimal inflammatory response. It is concluded that AFG is an effective haemostatic agent with good systemic and local compatibility and can be used in splenic salvage, which thereby avoids the use of non-autologous products with their risks of disease transmission.  相似文献

目的 比较纤维蛋白胶粘合法与神经外膜缝合法修复周围神经损伤的效果。方法 将雄性Wistar大鼠20只随机分为两组,即粘合组和缝合组,每组10只。以大鼠左侧坐骨神经为修复神经模型进行实验。术后8周,各组取8只大鼠进行电生理、组织学检查,每组其余2只取标本做透射电镜观察。结果 术后8周粘合组神经纤维较缝合组平直,粘合组与缝合组比较,运动神经潜伏期延迟比、吻合口神经纤维通过比、有髓纤维截面积恢复比、肌湿重恢复比差别具有显著性意义(t值分别为2.32、2.43、2.39、2.36,P值分别为0.032、0.029、0.030、0.031)。结论 应用纤维蛋白胶粘合修复周围神经损伤是一种较为有效的神经接合方法。  相似文献

Fibrin glue, also known as fibrin sealant, is now established as a haemostatic agent in surgery, but its role in orthopaedic surgery is neither well known nor clearly defined. Although it was originally used over 100 years ago, concerns about transmission of disease meant that it fell from favour. It is also available as a slow-release drug delivery system and as a substrate for cellular growth and tissue engineering. Consequently, it has the potential to be used in a number of ways in orthopaedic surgery. The purpose of this review is to address its use in surgery of the knee in which it appears to offer great promise.  相似文献

Objective

To study the effects of fibrin sealant containing nerve growth factor on the peripheral nerve regeneration.

Study design

A four-group experimental design with repeated measures on one factor was used.

Methods

Fibrin glue (FG) containing NGF was injected into the site of end-and-end sutured peripheral nerve (sciatic nerve) (group I: NGF + FG), meanwhile three control groups were set-up: group II (NGF), group III (FG), and group IV (normal saline). Observation to the function and morphology of the sciatic nerve was carried out at the end of 4, 8, 12 weeks postoperation. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, with the appropriate post hoc between-groups comparison test.

Results

Electrophysiological testing. The NAP and NCV of group I (NGF + FG) were greater than those of group II (NGF), group III (FG), or group IV (normal saline) (p < 0.05). Sciatic functional index (SFI). It began to ameliorate at 4 weeks postoperation and SFI increased as time went on. And the SFI in group I (NGF + FG) was better than those in group II (NGF), group III (FG), or group IV (normal saline) (p < 0.05). Morphology. In the MGF-stained sections, dissociated myelin debris was less and regenerated nerve fibres were in larger quantities in group I (NGF + FG) than in other groups. In the HE-stained sections, regenerated nerve fibres distal to anastomosis significantly increased, and axon and myelin had a clearer outline in group I (NGF + FG) than in other groups. Electron microscopy indicated that the regenerated nerve fibres were more mature and the development of the axons was greater in group I than in other control groups.

Conclusions

FG can be used as carrier of exogenous NGF, and they can provide synergistic effects for the peripheral nerve regeneration after the integration of the two.  相似文献
