目的:了解不同矫治力作用下大鼠牙齿移动距离及牙根吸收情况,探索应用Micro?CT研究正畸牙齿移动过程中矫治力对牙根吸收的影响。方法10周龄健康雄性SD大鼠64只(220~270 g),分别施以10 g (10 g力组)、30 g力(130 g力组)拉右侧上颌第一磨牙向近中移动建立实验动物模型,以对侧同名牙为对照牙。于加力后第3、7、14、28天处死动物,使用Micro?CT扫描上颌第一磨牙及周围牙槽骨,测量上颌第一磨牙近中移动距离,计算加力28 d上颌第一磨牙近中根的表面凹陷体积,进行统计学分析。结果加力后发生牙齿移动,10 g力组在加力14 d内,牙齿移动量小于30 g力组(P =0.039),在加力28 d时大于30 g力组(P<0.05)。加力28 d,10 g力组、30 g力组的牙根表面凹陷总体积高于对照组(P=0.004),30 g力组产生的牙根表面凹陷总体积高于10 g力组(P<0.001)。结论 Micro?CT可以对牙齿移动及牙根吸收进行可靠评价及量化分析。加力后28 d,10 g力组移动量较30 g力组大,相应产生牙根吸收较30 g力组少。  相似文献

The in vitro force levels generated by four differing methods of mechanical debonding techniques for ceramic brackets, using debonding pliers, were measured. The forces generated using wide (method W) and narrow blades (method N) were compared with those generated using a diagonally opposite corner application of the wide blades (method C) and incisal-gingival application of a pair of pointed blades (method P). Chemically retained ceramic brackets (Transcend) were bonded to bovine teeth using a filled, two-paste, chemically cured composite (Concise). After 24 hours storage at 37 degrees C in water, each specimen was subjected to one of the four mechanical debonding methods in a custom-built jig, simulating the clinical application of conventional debonding pliers. A one-way ANOVA with a Tukey's honestly significant difference test revealed statistically significant differences in debonding strengths between the four methods at the 0.05 level of significance. The mean debonding strength generated by method C was 40 and 25 per cent lower than that for methods W and N, respectively. Scoring of the adhesive remnant index (ARI) revealed that the predominant bond failure site was at the bracket/adhesive interface for all groups. Macroscopically, no enamel damage or bracket fractures were observed.  相似文献

Few three-dimensional (3-D) models exist to study the cellular aspects and molecular regulation of orthodontic tooth movement (OTM). The aim of this study was to develop a 3-D in vitro model to study mechanical loading of human periodontal ligament (PDL) fibroblasts (hPDLF). hPDLF were seeded within collagen gels to form a PDLF analogue. Characterisation of the seeded collagen gels revealed that the gels supported cell proliferation, viability and the emergence of a possible contractile phenotype, replicating the constrained condition of the human PDL in vivo. We next developed a 3-D model that incorporated a seeded collagen gel interlocked mechanically at two ends to movable end plates. The movable end plates allowed for static tensile or compressive loading of the hPDLF-seeded collagen gels. Preliminary testings showed that this 3-D model mimicked PDL strains similar to those observed during OTM. Our 3-D model of OTM therefore offers promise for use as a model system in future studies to improve our understanding of the effects of OTM on PDLF.  相似文献

The holographic technique, recently developed for precise and accurate measurement of tooth displacements, was used to study the three-dimensional motion of human teeth. Maxillary central incisors were loaded with forces of 300 grams and 500 grams. Translations and rotations in three-dimensions were measured over 45 seconds. The experimental results, presented as a function of time, indicate that the instantaneous centers of rotation can be represented by space centrodes that are characteristic for each patient and the applied force system.  相似文献

Optimum force magnitude for orthodontic tooth movement: a mathematic model.   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9  
The aim of this study was to develop a mathematic model to describe the relationship between magnitude of applied force and rate of orthodontic tooth movement. Initially, data were extracted from experimental studies in dogs (beagles), in which controlled, standardized forces were used to move mandibular second premolars distally. Curve-fitting by nonlinear regression analysis provided an equation describing the relationship between force magnitude and rate of tooth movement in beagles. A similar equation was subsequently used to analyze the limited available data from the literature on human canine retraction. The maximum rates of tooth movement in humans and dogs are very similar. A threshold for force magnitude that would switch on tooth movement could not be defined. The model showed that a wide range of forces can be identified, all of which lead to a maximum rate of tooth movement.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to perform a meta-analysis of the literature concerning the optimal force or range of forces for orthodontic tooth movement. Over 400 articles both on human research and animal experiments were found in Medline and by hand searching of main orthodontic and dental journals. Articles on animal experiments were in the majority. A wide range of animal species such as rat, cat, rabbit, beagle dog, monkey, mouse, and guinea pig were used. Besides variation in species, there was also a wide range of force magnitudes, teeth under study, directions of tooth movement, duration of experimental period, and force reactivation. Furthermore, hardly any experiments were reported that provide information on the relation between the velocity of tooth movement and the magnitude of the applied force. Data from human research on the efficiency of orthodontic tooth movement appeared to be very limited. The large variation in data from current literature made it impossible to perform a meta-analysis. Therefore, we have systematically reviewed the literature. It appeared that no evidence about the optimal force level in orthodontics could be extracted from literature. Well-controlled clinical studies and more standardized animal experiments in the orthodontic field are required to provide more insight into the relation between the applied force and the rate of tooth movement.  相似文献

The aim of the present study is to observe the changes in bone turnover markers, deoxypyridinoline (Dpd), osteocalcin, n-telopeptide (NTx), and bone alkaline phosphatase (balp) during the experimental orthodontic intrusion of maxillary premolar teeth. The study population required fixed appliance therapy involving the extraction of the maxillary first premolar teeth. Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) samples were collected from each patient by using paper strips before the appliances were fitted and 1, 24, and 168 hours after the activation of appliances. After the second activation on the 21st, 22nd, and 28th days of the study, samples were collected. Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) tests were performed following manufacturer's recommendations. The results of the study indicate Dpd, osteocalcin, and balp values decrease with force application. Among the tested parameters only Dpd values showed statistically significant changes through time. One, 7, 22, and 28 day results show a significant amount of decrease when compared to 0 days. The extra decrease on the 22nd day (the day after the second activation) is also significantly lower. NTx crosslink values could not be detected in the experimental samples.  相似文献

This in vitro study investigated the effect of the major connector on distal abutment tooth and denture base movements when loads were applied to a partial denture with extracoronal attachments. A brass mechanism was constructed for load application, and the abutment and base movements were measured in three planes using a kinesiograph. It was determined that cutting the major connector affected the degree of abutment tooth movement but not the direction. After cutting the major connector, the base movement increased in all three planes with the different forces applied. The direction of the base movement changes only in the buccolingual plane.  相似文献

Objective:To investigate differences in the amount of tooth movement and root resorption that occurred after tipping and bodily movement of the maxillary first molar in rats.Materials and Methods:Ten-week-old female Wistar rats were divided into two groups according to type of tooth movement and subdivided into four subgroups according to the magnitude of applied force. Nickel-titanium closed-coil springs exerting forces of 10, 25, 50, or 100 g were applied to the maxillary left first molars to induce mesial tooth movement. We designed a novel orthodontic appliance for bodily tooth movement. Tooth movement distance and root resorption were measured using microcomputed tomography and scanning electron and scanning laser microscopy.Results:The amount of tooth movement in the bodily tooth movement group was less than half that in the tipping tooth movement group. The greatest amount of tooth movement occurred in the 10-g tipping and 50-g bodily tooth movement subgroups, and the amount of tooth movement decreased with the application of an excessive magnitude of force. Conversely, root resorption increased when the heavier orthodontic force was applied in both groups. Root resorption in the tipping tooth movement group was approximately twice that in the bodily tooth movement group.Conclusions:Root resorption in the tipping tooth movement group was more pronounced than that in the bodily tooth movement group. Although the amount of tooth movement decreased when extremely heavy forces were applied, root resorption increased in both the tipping and bodily tooth movement groups in rats.  相似文献

Effects on tooth movement of force delivery from nickel-titanium archwires   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The aim of this project was to determine the in vivo effects of tooth movement with nickel-titanium archwires on the periodontium during the early stages of orthodontic treatment. The extent of tooth movement, severity of gingival inflammation, pocket probing depth, gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) flow, and the amount of the chondroitin sulphate (CS) glycosaminoglycan (GAG) component of the GCF of one maxillary canine in each of 33 patients treated with a pre-adjusted appliance were measured before and at four stages during the first 22 weeks of treatment. The methods involved the use of a reflex metrograph to determine the type of tooth movement and electrophoresis to quantitate the CS in the GCF. It was found that GCF flow increased after 4 weeks of tooth movement whereas the increase in the amount of CS in the GCF, which is taken to be indicative of periodontal tissue turnover, occurred at the later stage of 10 weeks. Teeth which showed the greatest amount of tooth movement continued to express large amounts of CS in large volumes of GCF until 22 weeks, whilst the CS levels in those teeth moving to a smaller extent declined. These data suggest that nickel-titanium archwires may produce a super-elastic plateau effect in vivo on canine teeth, which are initially displaced from the arch such that large amounts of tooth movement occur in the first 22 weeks of treatment.  相似文献

目的:研究中药丹参和骨碎补在大鼠正畸牙移动过程中对其牙周组织改建的作用。方法:选取72只SPF级Wistar雌性大鼠,随机分为丹参组、骨碎补组和对照组三组,每组24只,建立大鼠正畸牙齿移动实验模型,丹参组每日灌服6 g/kg丹参水煎剂,骨碎补组每日灌服6 g/kg骨碎补水煎剂,对照组每日灌服3 ml生理盐水,每隔7 d加力1次。三组动物于正畸加力7、14、21、28 d分批次处死,每次6只;剥离头颅骨,测量牙齿移动的距离及牙槽骨的密度,同时制作上颌第一磨牙区牙周组织切片,光学显微镜观察牙周组织改建情况,并进行统计学分析。结果:丹参组、骨碎补组牙齿移动距离均大于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05),丹参组和骨碎补组之间差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05);光镜下观察三组的破骨细胞数量均呈现先增加后变平缓趋势,丹参组和骨碎补组较对照组增加更为显著(P〈0.05),丹参组和骨碎补组之间差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05);三组的牙槽骨密度都呈现降低趋势,丹参组和骨碎补组较对照组降低缓慢(P〈0.05),丹参组和骨碎补组之间差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05)。结论:灌服丹参和骨碎补水煎液可促进大鼠牙周膜内破骨细胞生成并维持牙槽骨密度,有利于大鼠正畸牙齿移动。  相似文献
