PURPOSE: To report a successful pregnancy from cryopreserved sibling oocytes and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) for an infertile couple with an unexpectedly low fertilization rate in the fresh in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle. METHODS: The woman had bilateral tubal obstruction and polycystic ovarian syndrome. The man had normal semen parameters. The couple underwent a cycle of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in that 20 oocytes were retrieved. Twelve oocytes were conventionally inseminated and eight were cryopreserved using a slow freezing method. However, only one oocyte was fertilized, and no pregnancy was achieved. In the next cycle, the frozen oocytes were thawed and ICSI was performed. RESULTS: After thawing, seven oocytes (88%) survived and one was damaged. Six were at the metaphase II stage and were injected. Five (83%) achieved normal fertilization, and all of them cleaved (100%). After replacement of the embryos, a singleton pregnancy developed. A healthy female baby was delivered at term. Karyotyping revealed 46, XX. CONCLUSIONS: In addition to well-known indications, cryopreservation of excess sibling oocytes for patients receiving IVF has a possible advantage of preventing unexpectedly low fertilization rate or fertilization failures.  相似文献

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of delayed oocyte reinsemination by ICSI (rescue ICSI) after total or near-total fertilization failure (≤25%) in IVF.

Design: A retrospective clinical study.

Setting: Non–hospital-based IVF program.

Patient(s): Thirty IVF cycles with total fertilization failure and two cycles with ≤25% initial fertilization.

Main Outcome Measure(s): Fertilization and pregnancy rates after rescue ICSI.

Intervention(s): Rescue ICSI 19–22 hours after initial oocyte insemination.

Result(s): A fertilization rate of 60.2% was achieved with rescue ICSI (141 of 234 oocytes, 29 of 32 patients). Of 30 patients with total fertilization failure, 27 had fresh transfers with rescue ICSI embryos. Two additional patients with ≤25% initial fertilization had subsequent replacement of frozen-thawed rescue ICSI embryos. Six pregnancies resulted, including three singleton, one twin, one missed abortion, and one ectopic pregnancy (20.7%). One of the singleton pregnancies resulted from replacement of four frozen-thawed embryos and is the first known pregnancy achieved from cryopreserved rescue ICSI embryos.

Conclusion(s): Rescue ICSI should be considered in the presence of total or near-total fertilization failure in IVF. Early application of rescue ICSI (19–22 hours after insemination) may be critical for establishing fertilization within an optimal window and producing viable embryos and pregnancies.  相似文献

目的评价未成熟卵母细胞体外成熟(IVM)后形成的卵裂期胚胎经慢速冷冻一解冻后的发育能力。方法将2006年1月至2010年12月北京大学第三医院因多囊卵巢综合征(PCOS)合并不孕症行卵裂期胚胎复苏移植的385例患者分为两组:复苏胚胎来源于体外成熟的卵母细胞组(IVM组,46例)和复苏胚胎来源于常规体内成熟的卵母细胞组(IVF组,339例)。采用慢冻速溶法解冻移植后比较两组患者的临床结局。结果IVM组复苏胚胎243枚,复苏后存活162枚,复苏率为66.67%;IVF组复苏胚胎1605枚,复苏后存活1082枚,复苏率为67.41%,两组比较,差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05)。IVM组患者的临床妊娠率和着床率分别为19.30%(11/57)和10.61%(14/132),明显低于IvF组临床妊娠率(45.45%,175/385)和着床率(26.14%,240/918;P均〈O.05)。结论体外成熟卵母细胞发育形成的卵裂期胚胎慢速冷冻后临床结局欠佳,可能与冻融前胚胎自身的发育潜力有关。  相似文献

Purpose

This study compares the fertilization rate and embryonic development of oocytes randomly inseminated by conventional IVF or ICSI in patients with endometriosis and normozoospermic semen during IVF cycles.

Methods

Sibling oocytes were randomized to be inseminated either by ICSI or IVF. Rates of fertilization, cleavage, blastulation and embryonic morphology were assessed.

Results

A total of 786 sibling cumulus-oocyte complexes (COC) were randomized between insemination by conventional IVF (387 COC) or ICSI (399 COC). A significantly higher fertilization rate was found in the ICSI group (ICSI versus IVF, 73.3±23 % versus 54.7±31.9 % respectively; P=0.003), yielding a higher mean number of day 2 embryos (5.2±3.4 versus 3.6±2.9 respectively; P=0.002). Triploid fertilization rate (3PN/COC) was significantly higher in the IVF group compared to the ICSI group (3.9±8.7 % versus 0.9±3.1 % respectively; P=0.02). The morphology score and rate of development of day 2 and 3 embryos were not different between the two groups. Comparison of embryo transfer cycles in which either IVF or ICSI only embryos were transferred did not reveal any statistically significant differences in pregnancy or implantation rates.

Conclusion

ICSI appears to be a better treatment option than conventional IVF in endometriosis-associated infertility, since it offers the advantages of higher fertilization rate and mean number of embryos and lower rate of total fertilization failure and triploid fertilization.  相似文献

In-vitro maturation (IVM) treatment has gained popularity for decreasing the incidence of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) by eliminating or minimizing the use of gonadotrophins in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Studies have shown that IVF with GnRH-antagonist protocol is associated with a lower incidence of OHSS. Data comparing the relative success of these two treatments is, however, lacking. Treatment outcome and rates of OHSS were compared in patients with PCOS who underwent assisted conception with either IVM or IVF with GnRH-antagonist protocol between 2006 and 2011. The number of oocytes retrieved was higher in the IVM group, whereas the number of mature oocytes, fertilization rate and number of embryos cleaved were comparable. The implantation rate was higher in the IVF group. The clinical pregnancy rates per embryo transfer were not statistically different (IVF: 45.8% versus IVM: 32.4%). The live-birth rate was higher in the IVF group (IVF: 40.7% versus IVM: 23.5%; P = 0.04). Five women developed moderate or severe OHSS in the IVF group, whereas none did in the IVM group. Both IVM and IVF with GnRH-antagonist protocol seem to be effective treatment regimens in women with PCOS, although IVM is associated with a lower risk of OHSS.  相似文献

In-vitro maturation (IVM) of immature oocytes has been proposed as a potential alternative to conventional IVF treatment following ovarian stimulation. However, the effects of the oocyte retrieval conditions on subsequent development have not been well understood. This study assessed the effects of different aspiration vacuums during oocyte retrieval on the developmental competence of immature oocytes following IVM, IVF and embryo transfer, retrospectively. Immature oocytes were aspirated with 20-gauge needles with a vacuum of 180 or 300 mmHg. Immature oocytes were cultured in IVM medium for 26 h. All mature oocytes were inseminated by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Embryo transfer was carried out 2 or 3 days after ICSI. The percentage of cumulus-cell enclosed oocytes and of transferable embryos per retrieved oocytes in 180 mmHg (69.7% and 23.8%, respectively) were significantly higher (P < 0.01) than those in 300 mmHg (46.2% and 12.8%, respectively). The ongoing pregnancy rate per retrieval cycle in 180 mmHg (30%) was higher (P < 0.01) than that in 300 mmHg (4.3%). The data indicate that lower pressure of vacuum aspiration with a 20-gauge needle improves the developmental competence of immature oocytes following IVM, IVF and embryo transfer.  相似文献

When infertile women undergoing IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) have more than 20 mature oocytes retrieved, at least 15 oocytes are inseminated by their husband's spermatozoa. The extra oocytes are cryopreserved by vitrification. If the patients became pregnant and have healthy live births, the patients are encouraged to donate their remaining cryopreserved oocytes. Forty-seven egg-sharing donors were recruited after having normal deliveries and they donated their remaining oocytes, totalling 395 cryopreserved oocytes, to 75 recipients. The survival rate of vitrified-warmed oocytes was 83.0%. Following insemination by ICSI, the fertilization and cleavage rates were 83.8% and 89.8%, respectively. Out of 75 recipients, 71 recipients completed the treatment cycles and 30 of them became pregnant with clinical pregnancy and implantation rates of 42.3% and 25.5%, respectively. The birthweight of the new-born infants (22 from singleton and two from one set of twins) were 3344.5 ± 669.1g and 2425.0 ± 742.5 g, respectively. No birth defects were observed for the live births. These results indicate that oocyte vitrification is an effective methodology for an egg-sharing donation programme, with acceptable pregnancy and implantation rates.  相似文献

It is well established that ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is more frequent in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome. In-vitro maturation (IVM) of immature oocytes presents a potential alternative for the fertility treatment and prevention of OHSS for these patients. This report describes the case of a 26-year old woman with a successful pregnancy and delivery following the transfer of frozen–thawed embryos derived from in-vitro matured oocytes. She had three failed cycles of ovarian stimulation (using low-dose step-up gonadotrophin protocol) with or without intrauterine insemination cycles, an ovulation-induction cycle with luteal long protocol, two fresh IVM cycle and one frozen–thawed IVM cycle. During the IVF cycle, she developed moderate OHSS and required hospitalization for 3 weeks. Following four unsuccessful IVF or IVM cycles, 15 months after the last cryopreservation, six fertilized oocytes were thawed for a scheduled embryo transfer. Following thawing, four fertilized oocytes survived and cleaved. Four frozen–thawed embryos were transferred. Six weeks after embryo transfer an ongoing intrauterine single pregnancy with fetal heartbeat was confirmed by transvaginal ultrasound. An uneventful pregnancy and delivery via Caesarean section at 39 weeks resulted in the birth of a normal healthy infant.  相似文献

Purpose

The purpose of the study was to report a case of live birth following donor oocyte in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) in which the oocyte donor herself was conceived via IVF. To our knowledge, such a case has not been previously reported.

Methods

Retrospective chart review; this case is reported after chart review of a successful outcome.

Results

A 42 year-old woman, with diminished ovarian reserve, and her husband desired to conceive. She underwent a fresh IVF/ICSI cycle with her own oocytes, which unfortunately was not fruitful in terms of pregnancy or cryopreserved embryos. The couple was counseled regarding the option of donor oocytes, and they elected to proceed with a fresh cycle of donor oocyte IVF/ICSI. The couple selected an anonymous oocyte donor from a donor agency who was a first-time oocyte donor and, interestingly, was conceived via IVF herself. The fresh donor oocyte/IVF/ICSI cycle did not result in pregnancy; however, two supernumerary blastocysts were cryopreserved for future cycles. The recipient’s subsequent frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) resulted in a singleton gestation and live birth.

Conclusions

An oocyte donor who was conceived via IVF had good ovarian response to stimulation, a good number of oocytes retrieved, and the formation and cryopreservation of blastocysts which, in a subsequent FET cycle, resulted in pregnancy and live birth for a recipient couple. To our knowledge, this is the first case reported of live birth with the use of donor oocytes from an oocyte donor who herself was conceived via IVF.  相似文献

目的:探讨未成熟卵母细胞体外培养(IVM)在体外受精(IVF)中对卵巢低反应性者的补救性治疗效果。方法:30例行IVF时表现为卵巢低反应者(实验组)在B超引导下经阴道行卵泡穿刺术,取卵后对不同期未成熟卵母细胞行IVM,再行胞浆内单精子注射(ICSI)受精;对成熟卵母细胞则进行常规受精,胚胎形成后行移植术。取同期进行ICSI周期治疗的63例作为对照组。结果:应用IVM行IVF-ET补救治疗的30个周期中有29个周期获胚胎移植,临床妊娠9例(31%),胚胎种植率18.47%,但该组未成熟卵培养成熟后的受精率、卵裂率均低于对照组;总妊娠率及胚胎种植率比常规ICSI组低。结论:IVM技术联合IVF为卵巢低反应性者提供了一种有效的补救措施,明显减少了IVF周期的取消率,提高了妊娠机会。  相似文献

In vitro fertilization (IVF) with ovarian stimulation is an effective treatment for couples needing treatment with assisted reproductive technologies (ART) where polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is coexisting. However, it is also associated with an increased risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. In vitro maturation (IVM) avoids the risks and side effects of ovarian stimulation by retrieving immature oocytes from unstimulated ovaries. These immature oocytes are then cultured, matured, and fertilized in vitro. Embryos are then selected for transfer in the same manner as conventional IVF. Although there has been significant progress in terms of improving clinical pregnancy and live-birth rates after IVM, there remains much to learn in terms of what controls maturation, fertilization, and implantation rates. This review is intended as an update on the most recent advances and directions of ongoing research in IVM in patients with PCOS.  相似文献

目的探讨未经任何药物刺激的未成熟卵母细胞行体外成熟(IVM)治疗不孕症的临床价值。方法40例不孕患者接受54个IVM周期,其中多囊卵巢综合征(PCOS)不孕患者26例,经其他辅助生育技术失败14例。在未采用任何药物刺激的前提下,于月经周期的第9—12天,在超声引导下经阴道对两侧卵巢内直径≤10mm的卵泡进行穿刺取卵。对取出卵母细胞于体外培养24~48h,待第一极体出现后,进行卵母细胞质内单精于注射(ICSI),18h后观察受精情况,继续培养24—48h,直至胚胎移植,移植前行激光辅助胚胎孵化。结果54个IVM周期中,有7个周期取消,取消率为13%;共移植周期47个,共获得未成熟卵母细胞857个,平均每周期18.2个。体外培养48h后,卵母细胞成熟率为73.7%(632/857),正常受精率为75.3%(476/632),卵裂率为91.2%(434/476)。移植日子宫内膜厚度平均为8.9mm,平均移植胚胎4.3个(2—6个);1例生化妊娠,19例临床妊娠,每取卵周期的临床妊娠率为35%(19/54),每移植周期的临床妊娠率为40%(19/47)。26例PCOS不孕患者共移植周期34个,1例生化妊娠,15例临床妊娠,每移植周期的临床妊娠率为44%(15/34)。结论未经促排卵药物刺激的卵母细胞行IVM用于治疗各种原因的不孕症,尤其是PCOS不孕患者,是一种有效的治疗方法。  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To establish the relative success of treatment by unstimulated in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes or stimulated in vitro fertilization (IVF) in women with polycystic ovaries undergoing assisted conception treatment. METHODS: The case-control study included 107 IVM and 107 IVF cycles matched for age and cause of infertility. In vitro maturation patients underwent transvaginal recovery of immature oocytes during an unstimulated cycle, in vitro oocyte maturation, and fertilization. Those in the IVF group underwent ovarian stimulation after pituitary suppression. Embryos were transferred in the same cycle in both groups. Main outcome measures included numbers of mature oocytes and embryos produced, and rates of implantation, pregnancy, live birth, and complications. RESULTS: In the IVM group after in vitro culture, 7.8 mature oocytes and 6.1 embryos were obtained per retrieval. With IVF, 12.0 mature oocytes (P <.01) and 9.3 embryos (P <.01) were obtained. The IVM pregnancy and live birth rates per retrieval were 26.2% and 15.9% compared with 38.3% and 26.2% for IVF (nonsignificant). The implantation rate of IVF-derived embryos was higher (17.1% versus 9.5%) than that for IVM (P <.01). There were 12 cases (11.2%) of moderate or severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome in IVF patients, compared with none in the IVM group (P <.01). CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that for women with polycystic ovaries who require assisted conception, IVM is a promising alternative to conventional IVF treatment.  相似文献

Purpose

To identify risk factors for suboptimal IVF outcomes using insemination with donor spermatozoa and to define a lower threshold that may signal a conversion to fertilization by ICSI rather than insemination.

Method

Retrospective, age-matched, case-control study of women undergoing non-donor oocyte IVF cycles using either freshly ejaculated (N?=?138) or cryopreserved donor spermatozoa (N?=?69). Associations between method of fertilization, semen sample parameters, and pregnancy rates were analyzed.

Results

In vitro fertilization of oocytes with donor spermatozoa by insemination results in equivalent fertilization and pregnancy rates compared to those of freshly ejaculated spermatozoa from men with normal semen analyses when the post-processing motility is greater than or equal to 88%. IVF by insemination with donor spermatozoa when the post-processing motility is less than 88% is associated with a 5-fold reduction in pregnancy rates when compared to those of donor spermatozoa above this motility threshold. When the post-processing donor spermatozoa motility is low, fertilization by ICSI is associated with significantly higher pregnancy rates compared to those of insemination.

Conclusion

While ICSI does not need to be categorically instituted when using donor spermatozoa in IVF, patients should be counseled that conversion from insemination to ICSI may be recommended based on low post-processing motility.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To compare oocyte and embryo quality in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and in women with normal ovulation. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Forty women with PCOS underwent a total of 67 In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) cycles. The control group consisted of women, of the same age, who underwent IVF (for tubal infertility) or ICSI (for male factor infertility) in the same period. RESULTS: The average number of oocytes recovered was higher in the PCOS group (12,1) than in the control group (9.6) as was the rate of immature oocytes (13.8% vs 5.8%; respectively). The fertilization rate was lower in PCOS patients (52% vs 61% in the controls). The cleavage rates, embryo morphology and pregnancy rates were similar in both groups. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: Although more oocytes were recovered from PCOS patients, the number of good quality embryos, suitable for transfer or freezing was similar in the two groups as less of the oocytes were mature and the fertilization rate was lower in the PCOS group. IVF or ICSI (according to the indication) are therefore efficient in PCOS patients.  相似文献

Treatment of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with assisted reproductive techniques is a great challenge for the infertility specialist. Patients with PCOS demonstrate many problems, such as excessive body weight and hyperinsulinaemia, that render management more complex. Prior to treatment with IVF, the PCOS patient should be thoroughly evaluated for disclosure of endometrial neoplasia, hyperinsulinaemia, and other general health related problems. Ovarian stimulation for IVF carries the risks of overstimulation and severe hyperstimulation, which should be avoidable in most cases with preventive measures. The outcome in terms of pregnancy and implantation rates is similar for patients with PCOS when compared with patients undergoing IVF for other indications. There are some questions regarding oocyte and embryo quality in women with PCOS. This manifests itself in lower fertilization rate and decreased embryo quality in some studies. However, increased numbers of oocytes available for insemination or ICSI compensate for decreased fertilization rates and embryo quality. More recent studies suggest higher cumulative conception rates in women with PCOS when compared with controls. In-vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes retrieved from non-stimulated or minimally stimulated cycles represents a viable option that should be considered seriously when assisted conception is attempted. Results of IVM, however, should be improved further and generalized before the technique can be advocated as the initial treatment approach in these patients.  相似文献

CASE REPORT: Our preliminary experience on the use of donor oocytes in human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) serodiscordant couples who have previously failed conventional in vitro fertilization (IVF) therapy is presented. Five HIV-1 serodiscordant couples in which the male is infected and the female is seronegative underwent IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) utilizing donor oocytes with day 3 embryo transfer and cryopreservation. Six oocyte donation cycles in the five couples yielded 16.8 +/- 9.5 (mean +/- SD) (range 11-34) oocytes; 3.8 +/- 0.4 (range 3-4) transferred embryos; and 1.8 +/- 2.2 (range 0-5) cryopreserved embryos per attempt. The fertilization rate from ICSI was 0.60 +/- 0.16 (range 0.40-0.88). Three of five couples conceived; two from one attempt (one singleton pregnancy and one twin pregnancy); and another after a failed fresh cycle using cryopreserved embryos. All female recipients tested remained seronegative 3 and 6 months post-embryo transfer. All babies (n=4) were seronegative at birth and 3 months postpartum. CONCLUSION: Oocyte donation may be considered as an alternative for childbearing in HIV serodiscordant couples in whom conventional IVF has failed due to factors inherent to the female partner.  相似文献

Objective: To compare clinical outcomes of frozen embryo transfers using cryopreserved pronuclear stage oocytes that had undergone either intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) or conventional IVF.

Design: Observational.

Setting: A tertiary referral reproductive medicine unit.

Patient(s): Couples undergoing either ICSI or conventional IVF from January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1997.

Intervention(s): Patients underwent a standard controlled ovarian hyperstimulation protocol and transvaginal ultrasound-guided oocyte retrieval. All normally fertilized (2PN) oocytes exceeding a specified embryo number designated for fresh transfer were immediately cryopreserved at the pronuclear stage. Our cryopreservation method included timing of the freeze according to pronuclear morphology. Subsequent frozen embryo thaw-transfer cycles were usually performed by thawing only the intended number of embryos for transfer.

Main Outcome Measure(s): Thaw survival rate, implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, delivery rate.

Result(s): Ninety-six thaw-transfer cycles (n = 72) and 93 thaw-transfer cycles (n = 67) were undertaken in patients who had previously undergone conventional IVF or ICSI, respectively. Embryo thaw survival rates (IVF, 90.4%; ICSI, 91.1%) were similar. Clinical pregnancy (IVF, 40.6%; ICSI, 44.1%) and delivery (IVF, 36.4%; ICSI, 39.8%) rates per transfer, as well as implantation (IVF, 19.1%; ICSI, 19.9%) rates, were also similar. There were only four clinical pregnancy losses in both groups.

Conclusion(s): Embryo thaw survival is similar for cryopreserved pronuclear stage oocytes derived from ICSI and conventional IVF. Clinical pregnancy, implantation and delivery rates were also similar for the two groups. In addition, there was no increase in the rate of pregnancy loss in ICSI patients after frozen embryo transfers.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) should be the choice of treatment in case of a previous IVF attempt with unexplained total fertilization failure or low fertilization (<25%). DESIGN: Prospective study. SETTING: Leiden University Medical Center. PATIENT(S): Thirty-eight couples undergoing IVF and ICSI on sibling oocytes after a first IVF attempt with total fertilization failure or with low fertilization (<25%). INTERVENTION(S): Performing IVF and ICSI on sibling oocytes. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S): Fertilization and (ongoing) pregnancy rate. RESULT(S): A total of 271 oocytes were collected in 24 oocyte retrievals in the total fertilization failure group. Hundred nine oocytes were randomly allocated to IVF and 12 were fertilized (11%); 162 sibling oocytes were allocated to ICSI and 78 were fertilized (48%). In 8 of the 24 patients fertilization occurred after IVF. The pregnancy rate after transfer of 1 IVF and 1 ICSI embryo (n = 3) was 67% and after the transfer of 2 ICSI embryos (n = 21) this was 52%. In the low fertilization group 169 oocytes were collected in 14 oocyte retrievals. Seventy-two oocytes were randomly allocated to IVF and 16 were fertilized (22%). Ninety-seven sibling oocytes were allocated to ICSI and 58 were fertilized (60%). In 7 of 14 patients fertilization occurred after IVF. The pregnancy rate after the transfer of 1 IVF and 1 ICSI embryo (n = 5) was 80% and after the transfer of 2 ICSI embryos (n = 9) this was 33%. CONCLUSION(S): Performing ICSI on some oocytes of a cohort may avoid total fertilization failures both in patients with a history of total fertilization failure and in patients with a history of low fertilization, as the percentage of fertilization is higher after ICSI compared to IVF and the recurrence of total fertilization failure and low fertilization is high after IVF treatment.  相似文献

In-vitro fertilization (IVF), an established treatment for infertility, may result in pregnancy and live-birth rates higher than following natural conception in fertile couples. However, IVF is associated with two major complications, namely, multiple pregnancy and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. The latter is a consequence of the ovarian stimulation required for IVF. Women with polycystic ovaries (PCO) are at increased risk of developing this complication. Ovarian stimulation is not required for in-vitro maturation (IVM) of immature oocytes. This approach is therefore both cheaper and safer than IVF, particularly for women with PCO. It has been found that the IVM pregnancy rate is correlated with the number of antral follicles present, the peak ovarian stromal blood flow velocity at the baseline ultrasound scan, the number of immature oocytes collected, absence of a dominant follicle at the time of immature oocyte retrieval, and endometrial thickness at embryo transfer. The indications for IVM at present would include women requiring IVF who have PCO, those with primarily poor quality embryos in repeated previous IVF cycles for no apparent reason, poor responders to high dose gonadotrophin stimulation for IVF, and finally, women with PCO who are considering egg donation.  相似文献
