Suggestive diagnostic signs include a pulsating abdominal mass, accompanying back pain, and an increase in the size of the mass during a brief period of observation. This is a report of a patient with chronic cluster headache-like pain of 12 years duration. Investigation revealed an aneurysm at the junction of the vertebral and posterior inferior cerebellar arteries and after removal the patient experienced resolution of his cluster headache. The headache and aneurysm were both right sided suggesting a possible relationship. 相似文献

Intracranial electrography is an extension of scalp and surface electro-encephalography in which electric impulses are obtained from the depths of the human brain. The surgical technic required for the placement of deep electrodes is simple, and the multi-contact electrodes are well tolerated. Pertinent information may be obtained by means of electric recording from or stimulation of the subcortex. This method portends to become a valuable diagnostic and investigative aid. 相似文献

A 62‐year‐old man with severe coronary artery disease and a left ventricular aneurysm underwent catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia (VT) with right bundle branch block QRS morphology. Endocardial bipolar voltage mapping with standard threshold settings demonstrated no low‐voltage areas within the aneurysm. Catheter ablation of the epicardial surface of the aneurysm eliminated the VT. Endocardial bipolar voltage mapping with any other settings could not predict the site of the epicardial arrhythmogenic substrate whereas endocardial unipolar voltage mapping could. Endocardial unipolar voltage mapping may be helpful for predicting epicardial arrhythmogenic substrates. (PACE 2012; 35:e13–e16) 相似文献
