Urinary tract injury occurs in 10% of all abdominal trauma patients, and the kidney is the most commonly injured organ in the urinary tract. CT with contrast enhancement is the modality of choice for cross-sectional imaging of renal trauma because it quickly and accurately can demonstrate injury to the renal parenchyma, renal pedicles, and associated abdominal or retroperitoneal organs. This article reviews the mechanism, clinical features, imaging modalities, and CT imaging findings according to the classification of the renal trauma. Trauma to underlying abnormal kidneys, iatrogenic renal injuries, and complications of renal trauma are reviewed also. 相似文献

Hypertension caused by renal abnormalities represents a small but significant percentage of the total hypertensive population. In each case, the abnormality affects renal hemodynamics, resulting in the excess secretion of renin. Renal hypertension may result from major vascular abnormalities--most often stenoses--microcirculatory disease, and renal parenchymal processes that secondarily affect the circulation. 相似文献

OBJECTIVE: Renal cell carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor to involve the kidneys; however, a number of other entities--called renal pseudotumors--may mimic renal neoplasms on imaging. This article presents the imaging features and pathologic correlation of some of the common and uncommon renal pseudomasses. CONCLUSION: Many renal lesions look similar to renal cell carcinoma on radiologic imaging. The imaging features of renal pseudotumors presented in this article will help radiologists to identify them and to triage these patients for appropriate management. 相似文献
