Abstract:Objective:To observe the level of the plasma adrenomedullin ( ADM ) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease( COPD) ,and investigate the correlation of ADM with COPD. Methods:The patients with COPD were divided into the acute exacerbated COPD group and stable COPD group, and the healthy people were set as the control group(23 cases each group). The plasma ADM levels, pulmonary function, blood gas analysis and blood routine test among three groups were compared. Results:The levels of plasma ADM in acute exacerbated COPD group and stable COPD group were significantly higher than that in control group (P<0. 01),and which in acute exacerbated COPD group was significantly higher than that in stable COPD group(P<0. 01). The level of plasma ADM was significantly negative correlation with the FEV1. 0%,FEV1. 0/FVC% and arterial oxygen partial pressure(P<0.01),but which was correlation with pH value(P < 0. 05). Conclusions:With the deterioration of COPD patients, the ADM compensatory increasing can expand the airway, inhibit the inflammation reaction and delay disease progression.
