| Abstract: | Objective: To analyze the genotype distribution and clinical characteristics of human papillomavirus (HPV) in male patients. Methods: The data of the patients with HPV positivity from January 2017 to July 2021 in our hospital were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results: 552 patients and samples were collected. Of 552 samples, HPV6, 11, 16 and 51 were the most common subtypes, with proportions of 35.51%, 23.73%, 16.49% and 10.14% respectively. The proportion of high-risk HPV subtypes accounted for 63.95% (simple high-risk infection+polyinfection). In different types of infection, single infection proportion was 56.88%, multiple infection proportion was 43.12%. In the clinical aspect, of 552 cases, 335 (60.69%) manifested as condyloma acuminatum and the most common subtypes were HPV6 and 11, 7 manifested as bowenoid papulosis and the most common subtypes was HPV16, 210（38.04%） were asymptomatic carriers and the most common subtypes were HPV16,52,58 and 51. Conclusion: HPV6, 11, 16 and 51 are the most common subtypes of HPV in this study, and the high-risk HPV proportion and single infection proportion are both high. The propotion of asymptomatic carriers is high and high-risk HPV infection is the main type, which should be noted. |
