| Abstract: | The efficacy of aztreonam (SQ 26,776) in the therapy of active syphilis infection was evaluated in the rabbit model. Aztreonam was effective in treating active syphilis at a dose of 25 mg/kg given intramuscularly twice daily for 10 days; doses of 2.5 and 0.25 mg/kg were not effective. |
