| Abstract: | Objective:To analyze the trend of incidence and mortality of brain and nervous system tumor in Chongqing.Methods:Cases of brain and nervous system tumor (ICD-10:C70-72) from 2012 to 2018 in Chongqing were collected.The data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 to calculate the incidence,age-standardized incidence rate by Chinese standard population (ASIRC),mortality,age-standardized mortality rate by Chinese standard population (ASMRC),age specific incidence and mortality.The incidence and mortality between male and female,urban and rural area was compared by Chi-square test.The trend change was analyzed by annual percent change.The significance of APC was tested by t-test.Results:The incidence and ASIRC of brain and nervous system tumor was 5.52/100 000 and 3.65/100 000 in 2012,Chongqing.The incidence and ASIRC of brain and nervous system tumor was 5.55/100 000 and 4.40/100 000 in 2018,Chongqing.And APC of the incidence and ASIRC was -1.29% and 2.71%.The trend change wasn' t significant (P>0.05).ASIRC among male residents increased by 6.82% (t=3.55,P<0.05).The incidence and ASIRC of brain and nervous system tumor in rural area increased by 2.02% and 4.81% (P<0.05).The mortality and ASMRC of brain and nervous system tumor was 3.59/100 000 and 2.66/100 000 in 2012.The mortality and ASMRC of brain and nervous system tumor was 3.52/100 000 and 2.53/100 000 in 2018.APC of the mortality and ASMRC was 0.10% and -0.60%.The trend change wasn' t significant (P>0.05).The mortality of brain and nervous system tumor in male was higher than it in female since 2015 (P<0.05) .The incidence and mortality of brain and nervous system tumor occurred every age group.The incidence and mortality of brain and nervous system tumor increased rapidly after 50 years old.The incidence and mortality of brain and nervous system tumor in age group of 50 years old increased by 17.47% and 15.72% in Chongqing.Conclusion:The incidence and mortality of brain and nervous system tumor was low and stable.The incidence in male and rural residents increased rapidly.The incidence and mortality in age group of 50 years old increased rapidly. |
