| Abstract: | An agar plate system for biotyping isolates of Candida albicans was evaluated in four laboratories for 18 coded yeast isolates, each tested in triplicate on duplicate series of agar plates. The results showed that the biotyping system gave excellent intralaboratory reproducibility. However, because the concordance of data among laboratories was poor, the method must be regarded as suitable only for research applications and not for routine use. |
