Abstract: | Nucleic acid amplification tests are widely used in mycobacteriology laboratories to rapidly detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex directly in clinical specimens. A positive result provides an early diagnosis of tuberculosis, allowing initiation of appropriate therapy and public health measures. |
