| Abstract: | Objective:To study the expression of keratin 23 typeⅠ(KRT23)in gastric cancer tissue and its clinical significance.Methods:Four cases of fresh gastric cancer tissue and their corresponding adjacent tissue,85 cases of paraffin tissue block and their corresponding adjacent tissue were collected,and the expression level of KRT23 protein was detected by Western blot.In addition,immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of KRT23 protein in 85 cases of gastric cancer tissue and paracancerous tissue paraffin block,and analyze the relationship between KRT23 protein expression and clinicopathological features of gastric cancer patients.The Cox proportional hazards model and Kaplan-Meier survival were used to analyze the prognostic correlation.Results:Compared with adjacent tissues,the expression level of KRT23 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly higher(P<0.001).The expression level of KRT23 protein was related to TNM staging(P=0.009)and lymphatic metastasis(P<0.001).Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that compared with KRT23 negative expression,the overall survival time of patients with KRT23 positive expression was significantly shorter(P<0.05).Cox regression analysis indicated that KRT23 positive(P=0.047),lymph node metastasis(P=0.01),and high TNM stage(P=0.024)were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of gastric cancer patients.Conclusion:KRT23 is highly expressed in the tissue of gastric cancer patients,and may play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of gastric cancer.It provides new ideas and targets for the diagnosis,treatment and prognosis evaluation of gastric cancer. |
