| Abstract: | A 49 year old man with rheumatoid arthritis developed a proliferative glomerulonephritis with progressive renal impairment during treatment with D-penicillamine. His renal function continued to deteriorate after the drug was stopped but improved after treatment with corticosteroids and azathioprine. |
