| Abstract: | Objective To learn acceptability of male circum cision(MC)among men who have sex with men(MSM).Methods Snow balling and convenient sampling were used to recruit MSM in Shenyang city.Que stionnaire inter views were admin istrated to MSM participants.Results Overall 123 MSM attended the survey.61.8% of MSM had female sexual partners,of which 57.9% failed to use condom with female sexual partners in past month.4.9% of MSM experienced MC.47.0% and 60.0% of uncircum cised MSM participants accepted paid MC and MC free of charge,respectively.Phmiosis and knowing MC could prevent sexually tran smitted diseases had statistically significant association with acceptability of MC(P<0.05).Conclusion MSM participants have high risk to transmit HIV to their female sexpartners.MC intervention to MSM may be an important choice to curb the rapid increase of HIV epidemic and the risk of transmission HIV to general population. |
