他汀类药对脑梗死的临床疗效和作用机制

Clinical Effect and Mechanism of Action in Treatment of Cerebral Infarction with Statins

Studies have suggested that statins decrease the incidence of ischemic stroke,statins may exert some neuroprotection. Statins improve endothelial function, reduce oxidative stress, and suppress inflammatory reactions beyond their lipid lowering effect. The favorable outcomes in statin users may be attributable to not only cholesterol-dependent actions, but also various cholesterol-independent actions called "pleiotropic effects". This article reviewed the experimental background regarding the pleiotropic effects of statins and summarized clinical trials that examined the preventive effects of statins.
