维生素E辅助治疗难治性癫痫患儿临床疗效观察

目的研究维生素E辅助治疗难治性癫痫的临床疗效,初步探讨癫痫发病与自由基的关系。方法 80例难治性癫痫患儿随机分为两组,40例仅采用抗癫痫药物治疗为对照组,40例抗癫痫药物添加维生素E治疗为维生素E组。结果维生素E组(47．50％)癫痫发作控制总有效率(Ⅰ满意 Ⅱ显著改善 Ⅲ良好)高于对照组(12．50％),两者比较差异具有统计学意义(P<0．05)。结论添加维生素E使难治性癫痫患儿癫痫发作控制总有效率显著提高,维生素E能够通过清除自由基起到辅助抗儿童癫癫作用,辅助使用维生素E为治疗难治性癫痫提供了一个新思路。

Clinical observation on the effectiveness of vitamin E adjunctive therapy in children with intractable epilepsy

Objective To assess the clinical effectiveness of vitamin E adjunctive therapy on intractable epilepsy in children and to approach the relation of epileptic attack and free radical. Methods Eighty children with intractable epilepsy were divided randomly into 2 groups (n=40 per group): control group just treated by anti-epilepsy drugs and vitamin E group with anti-epilepsy drugs together with vitamin E. Results The total effective rates in the vitamin E group and the control group were 47.50% and 12.50% respectively. There was a significant difference between the 2 groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Vitamin E adjunctive therapy raises the total effective rate of child intractable epilepsy significantly by cleaning up free radical, which offers a new idea to treat intractable epilepsy.
