The impact of Type D personality on blood glucose control in patients with Type 2 Diabetic

Objective To explore Type D personality on blood glucose control and its influencing factors with Type 2 Diabetic patients.Methods The study included 161 patients with Type 2 Diabetic,and they all filled out the following scales: survey questionnaire including gender,age,BMI,duration of diabetes,education level,HbA1c,BUN,CR and other indicators such as monthly income.Type D personality was measured by Denollet DS14 scale,the anxiety and depression were evaluated with self-rating anxiety scale or self-rating scale of depression.Results Of all the investigated patients,the Type D personality was 34.1%.Type D personality and non-Type D personality comparison,the differences of serum Cr and anxiety score were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The proportion of Type D personality increase among patients with diabetes,patients with Type D personality had higher serum Cr level and lower anxiety score.
