| Abstract: | ObjectiveTo observe the therapeutic effect of MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing in association with MEBO Wound Ointment in the treatment of refractory ulcers and analyze its mechanism. Methods A total of 85 cases （ 109 sites） of various refractory ulcers were treated by MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing in combination with MEBO Wound Ointment in the whole course of treatment. The wound exudates, growth of epithelial granulation tissue and wound healing process were observed. Results Wounds in 41 patients were cured after 2 to 7 weeks＇ treatment, 29 patients cured after 8 to 10 weeks, 8 cured after 11 to 15 weeks, 3 cured after 16 to 23 weeks; and 4 patients with infected wounds were controlled in stable status with the shedding of necrotic tissues and the concentric creeping of newly regenerated granulation tissues. Conclusion The effects of MEBO Wound and Ulcer Dressing in association with MEBO Wound Ointment in treating various kinds of refractory ulcers are significant. |
