Study on the Application and Mechanism of Alginate Medical Dressing in Diabetic Foot Ulcer

Diabetic foot ulcer is a kind of lower limb infection and ulcer caused by peripheral vascular and peripheral neuropathy on the basis of diabetic foot, which is one of the most serious complications of diabetic patients. The disease course is long, the treatment cost is high, the prognosis is poor, most patients face the risk of amputation. Alginate medical dressing, as a new type of wet dressing, can provide an ideal moist environment for wounds, promote wound healing and relieve wound pain. This article reviews the application and mechanism of alginate dressing in diabetic foot ulcer.
