| Abstract: | Cationic antimicrobial peptides are a class of positively charged peptides known fortheir broad-spec- trum antimicrobial activity. They have also been shown to possess antiviral, anticancer activity and the ability to modulate theinnate immune response. Recent studies of themechanism of action as wellas the relationship between peptidestructure and antibacterial activity are reviewed. |
