Cushing's syndrome with hypokalemia and repeated fracture as the first manifestations: report of one case and literature review

Objective　To investigate one case of Cushing's syndrome with atypical signs andwith hypokalemia and repeated fracture as the first manifestations. Methods　The clinical data of a case of Cushing'ssyndrome with hypokalemia and repeated fractures as the first manifestations inWeihai Municipal Hospital, Shandong University were analyzed, and theliteratures were reviewed. Results　A 68-year-old femalepatient was diagnosed as adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) pituitary tumor insellar region with hypokalemia and repeated fracture as the firstmanifestations, and she was improved after surgical treatment. Conclusion　Patients withhypokalemia and repeated fracture are prone to missed diagnosis due to atypicalclinical signs, and they should be paid attention to in clinical work.
