Abstract: | Three new monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, 19-hydroxyl-10-methoxy-19, 20-dihydrovinorine (1), 19-O-acetyl-10-methoxy-19, 20-dihydrovinorine (2), and 19, 21α-dihydroxyl-10-methoxy-19, 20-dihydrovinorine (3), along with five known analogues (4–8), were isolated from the whole plants of Vinca major. The new structures were elucidated by extensive NMR and MS analysis and comparison with known compounds. In addition, compounds 1–3 were evaluated for their cytotoxicities against five human cancer cell lines. |
