| Abstract: | Severe rhabdomyolysis complicated by respiratory and renal failure developed three weeks after initiation of low dose lovastatin therapy in a 79 year old, non-immunocompromised patient. The concomitant use of gemfibrozil may increase the risk of this complication. |
