Meta-analysis of the effect of Kidney-tonifying method on sex hormone in breast cancer patients after endocrine therapy

Objective: To evaluate the effect of kidney-tonifying method on the sex hormones after breast cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy and the improvement of perimenopausal symptoms by using meta-analysis. Method: A comprehensive search was conducted on CNKI, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang Database, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, etc. The search time was limited to May 1st, 2018, and the selection was confirmed according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. After the literature, the quality of the literature was evaluated using the Jadad scale. Data entry for the selected literature studies was performed, and Revman 5.3 statistical software was used for meta-analysis. Result: A total of 21 randomized controlled trials involving 1176 breast cancer patients with endocrine therapy were included. Meta-analysis showed: Symptom evaluation: The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group WMD = -13.98, 95% confidence interval -14.73, -13.23], P &lt;0.00001]; effect evaluation of sex hormones: E2 effect: P =0.69&gt;0.05, the effect of FSH: P=0.40&gt;0.05, the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The method of tonifying kidney can improve the symptoms of perimenopausal after the endocrine therapy of breast cancer patients. At the same time, regardless of the menopause or not, the kidney-building method will not affect the level of sex hormones, and it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
