Abstract:Objective:To study the influence of two different surface treatments on the retention of cast pure titanium post.Methods:Surface of cast pure titanium posts were divided into three groups based on different treatment,sandblasted group,acid-etched group and control group without blasting.All the posts were bonded into human teeth root canal in vitro with resin cement,and then the retention of posts of three groups were tested and recorded.Results:There was significant difference in retention among three surface treatments of sandblasting(190.39±14.82)N],acid-etched(199.65±13.24)N] and the control group(160.26±12.36)N](P〈0.05),while no significant difference was found between the sandblasting surface and acid-etched surface(P〉0.05).Conclusions:Both sandblasting surface and acid-etched surface can increase the retention of the pure-titanium posts when they were bonded with resin cement
