Safety and recent outcomes of emergency interventional procedures combined with tirofiban in patients with acute myocardial infarction

Objective： To observe and assess the curative effect,safety and recent outcomes of emergency interventional procedures combined with tirofiban in patients with acute myocardial infarction.Methods： A total of 66 patients with acute myocardial infarction that underwent interventional procedures within 12 h after onset from January 2007 to January 2010 were assigned into observation and control group,respectively.Both groups were given aspirin,clopidogrel and heparin,while the observation group was also given an extra tirofiban.Clinical outcomes during hospitalization,ECG,LVEF and MACE was observed and compared between the two groups.Results： Prevalence of thrombocytopenia,mild and severe hemorrhage in the observation group and control group was 3.1% vs 2.9%,9.4% vs 11.8% and 3.1% vs 2.9%,showing no significant difference（P〉0.05）.The average sum STR 2 hours after operation of the observation group was a little higher than that of the control group（45.9±27.1 vs 45.1±25.8）（P〉0.05）.The observation group showed higher LVEF 30 days or 3 months after the operation,（53.0±6.2 vs 46.5±5.9,57.0±5.8 vs50.8±4.7）showing significant difference（P〈0.05）.The MACE incidence 30 days and 3 months after operation in the observation group and control group were 3.1% vs 14.7%,9.3% vs 26.5%,the difference were statistically significant（P〈0.05）.Conclusions： With favorable outcomes,emergency interventional procedures combined with tirofiban is effective and safe in patients with acute myocardial infarction
