贵阳市民吸烟与肺癌关系的研究

A Case-control Study on the Relationship between Smoking and Lung Cancer in Guiyang City

This paper reports a case-control study on 251 dead from lung cancer in Guiyang during 1986-1988.By using a matching design, the results show that smoking is a risk factor for lung cancer. Relative risk is 5.29 (P<0.001) for males and 0.74 for females.Standardized odds ratio is 2.70.There is a dose-effect relation between the initlal smoking age, the smoking quantity,the smoking index and the relative risk of lung cancer respectively. Logistic regressin analysis showed that the smoking quantity is a primary risk factor(P<0.01).Three risk factors(initial smoking age<16, smoking quantity>30 and smoking index>60) that exist simultaneously is a high risk population of lung cancer in Guiyang area.
