Abstract:Objective:To summarize the experience of hepatic artery inosculation in orthotopic liver transplantation. Methods:Facts and skills affecting hepatic artery inosculation in 11patients of orthotopic liver transplantation were retrospectively analyzed in this article. Results:The donor and recipient proper hepatic arteries were reconstructed by end-to-end anastomosis in 7 cases, and the donor common hepatic arteries and the recipient proper hepatic arteries were anastomosed in 2 cases, and the donor common hepatic arteries were anastomosed to the recipient splenic arteries in 2 cases. All of the anastomosed sites were assessed by Doppler ultrasonography postoperatively, and hepatic arterial thrombosis or stenosis has not been found.8 patients are still alive until now. Conclusion:Choosing proper vessels in vascular reconstruction is crucial in preventing hepatic arterial thrombosis and stenosis.
Keywords:liver transplantation  hepatic artery  vascular reconstruction
