Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy of cardiac shock wave therapy(CSWT) on cardiac perfusion and cardiac function in patients following percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) by dynamic single-photon emission computed tomography(D-SPECT). Methods Thirty patients(22 males and 8 females) who underwent CSWT after PCI received adenosine overload D-SPECT myocardial perfusion examination before and 6-9 months after CSWT. QPS-QGS image processing software was used for analysis. The LVEF%, SSS, SRS, EDV, ESV, total score of myocardial defect, number of segments of myocardial defect were analyzed and compared before and after CSWT. Results The number of myocardial ischemic segments in resting and overloading state decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.05); the total score of myocardial perfusion in resting and overloading state decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.05). The cardiac function test indexes EF(%) in resting/overloading state increased significantly after treatment(P<0.05); EDV and ESV in resting/loading state improved significantly after treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion CSWT is a noninvasive, safe and effective adjuvant therapy for the recovery of myocardial function in patients following PCI; and D-SPECT myocardial radionuclide perfusion imaging can be used to evaluate the efficacy of CSWT.
