| Abstract: | One.stage reconstruction of the penis with theabdominal fasciocutaneous flap based on the arteriaepigastrica superficialis (AES) and arteria circum-flexa ilium superficialis (ACIS) was performed withsuccess in 16 patients. The flap, tabletennis-batshaped, was taken from the lower quadrant of theabdomen. The blood for the flap was supplied bythe AES and the ACIS. "The striking surface ofthe bat" constituted the main part of the flap;the medial portion of which formed the corpuspenis and the lateral portion formed the urethra.The supporting tissue was a piece of autogenouscartilage or a silicon rubber bar. The reconstructedpenis assumed an acceptable appearance and wasgood in function. |
