论缩短平均住院日对医院内医疗资源使用效率的影响

20世纪90年代初期我院平均住院日约为31天,1996年以后降至12天～13天。由于平均住院日的缩短,2000年住院患者比1991年增加了234.8％。2000年住院患者平均医疗费用比1991年增加了110.3％,同年住院医疗收入比1991年增加6倍。住院患者平均医疗费用的增加主要表现在90年代初期,1991年～1994年间每年收治的患者数量没有明显的增加,每年住院医疗收入的增加主要与住院患者平均费用的增加有关。1995年后住院患者平均费用非常稳定,2000年住院患者平均医疗费用仅比1994年增加了0.3％,住院医疗收入的增加主要与收治的患者数量增加有关。缩短平均住院日可明显提高医院内医疗资源的利用效率,在遏制住院患者平均医疗费用增长的同时明显增加了医院的医疗收入。

Discussion on affect of reducing average stay per in-patient in hospital towards efficiency of the utilization of medical resources of hospital

The average stay per in - patient in hospital in the beginning of 90' s of 20th century was 31 days in my hospital, since 1996, it has reduced to 12 - 13 days. Because of the shorter average stay in hospital , the number of in - patient in 2000 increased by 234.8 % against 1991. The average cost for medical service per in- patient in 2000 increased by 110.3% against 1991, the income from in - patient service in the same year increased by 6 times against 1991. The increase of average cost for medical service for in - patient service mainly occurred in the beginning of 90 s, from 1991 to 1994, the number of in - patients admitted to hospital yearly did nod increase remarkably, the annual increase of cost for medical service for in - patient service mainly relevant to the increase of average cost for medical service for in - patient service. Since 1995, the average cost for medical service for in - patient service has become very stable; the average cost per in - patient in 2000 only increased 0.3% against 1994, the increase of cost for medical service for in - patient service mainly relevant to the increased number of in- patient. To shorten the average stay in hospital may remarkably increase the effi- ciency of the utilization of medical resources of hospital, as a result, while the increase of the average cost per in - patient has been controlled, the income from medical service for the hospital increased remarkably.
