The Last Care and Happiness Paradox

＂Terminal care is of man rather than of disease; it focuses not on lifespan but on quality.＂ Terminal care, in terms of that notion, is supposed to help dying patients to gain the last happiness. In the clinical practice, the medical staffand patients＇ relatives may be caught up in the ethic dilemma whether ＂to improve quality＂ or ＂to lengthen lifespan＂. Thus, searching for an effective solution to the paradox is bound to help patients to obtain the last happiness and to promote the healthy development of the project of terminal care.
