将针刺治神系统地分为针刺前的明神、调神和针刺守神三个方面 ,把《内经》中的“上守神”、“上守机”明确为针对治神的不同阶段而言 ,应加以区别。提出针刺治神应当贯穿于从接诊病人到针刺完毕的整个过程 ,且每一个过程均有不同的要求和目的。指出了针刺治神的全面与否直接关系到针刺的疗效和安全
