Incidence of abnormal thyroid dysfunction is increasing year by year,and has become an important health problem that endangers human life and health.Based on the physiological relationship between the thyroid and Pi and characteristics of different types of thyroid dysfunction,the article discussess the treatment of thyroid dysfunction from Pi.The basic pathogenesis of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism were Piyin Buzu,Piyang Kuixu,and two basic treatment methods of Yiqi Yangyin and Yiqi Wenyang were given respectively.Hyperthyroidism was treated with Gan Dan Ping Gan Suan Han,and hypothyroidism was treated with Ganwen Fuzheng,Xinwen Kaisan.
