| Abstract: | Acupuncture and Chinese materia medica are two large component parts of traditional Chinese medicine. The point of view of "acupuncture and moxibustion belonging to external treatment,Chinese drugs to internal treatment, both acupuncture and the drugs having identical source" has been applied widely since ancient times. A great number of clinical practice and experimental studies have proved that combined treatment of acupuncture with drugs plays both synergism and antagonism.Acupuncture and moxibustion influence effects of drugs, on the contrary, drugs influence effects of acupuncture and moxibustion. They interact on each other. Deep study on their interaction can open up a new way not only for increase of clinical therapeutic efffects of acupuncture and drugs, and decrease of toxic side-effects of drugs, but also for promoting combination of the two subjects, and of TCM with Western medicine. |
