Abstract:Since the end of 2019, coronavirus disease-2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been widely spread worldwide, and seriously threatened human health. At present, no specific antiviral drugs are available for SARS-CoV-2. Vaccination has become the most effective and economic means of prevention and control. As the large amounts of vaccination and subsequent follow-ups commence, vaccine-related spontaneous heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, namely vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) has gradually emerged in clinical practice. This paper reviews the possible mechanism and research progress of VITT.
