Methods] The document analysis method was used to explore the value and development of ordinary journals. Findings] Ordinary journals can promote the diversified and stable development of the industrial ecosystem of journals, and should focus on the new developments of building world-class scientific journals, improve the expertise of editors to seize opportunities, and cooperate with multiple parties.
