| Abstract: | Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Tibet medicine namely DaGuJie Ⅰ Formulation on Kashin-Beck disease. Methods 187 cases of Kashin-Beck disease were randomly divided into the treatment group, with patients treated by DaGuJie Ⅰ Formulation, the control group A, with 67 patients treated by Ibuprofen capsules and control group B with 50 patients treated by vitamin C. Its efficacy was observed by continuously taking the medicine 3 months, and six months follow-up observation for the long-term effect. The clinical efficacy was assessed ac- cording to ＂Kashin-Beck disease Treatment Criteria of China＂（Ws/T79-1996）and international accepted Pain Visual Criteria （VAS）. Result After three months treatment,the clinical effect of treatment group, control group A and control group B was 91.43%, 89.55% and 22% respectively. There was no statistical significance （P〉0.05）between treatment group and control group A; but it showed statistical significance （P〈0.05） between treatment group and control group B or control group A and control B. The clinical efficacy of treatment group and the control group A showed statistical significance compared with control group B after six months follow-up observation （P〈0.05）. Conclusion DaGuJie Ⅰ Formulation significantly improved the clinical symptom of patients with Kashin- Beck disease, without toxic side effects. |
