Ill Health Retirement Guidelines for Occupational Physicians

These guidelines have been produced by a working party of theAssociation of Local Authority Medical Advisors to help doctorsarrive at equitable decisions when assessing applications forill health retirement. The general guidelines are intended toapply to all pension schemes and the specific ones to thosesuch as The Local Government Pension Scheme where there is arequirement for the applicant to have permanent ill health.
