The History and Current Status of the Clinicai Pathways

The clinical pathway results from the adaptability changes of medical policy of "the Prospective Payment System,PPS"in the clinical service system of hospital,marking a clinical pathway developed by the multi disciplinary teams led by the doctors,meanwhile,serving as a basic strategy of the existence and development of the hospitals.The authors attempt to describe the concept and connotation,origin and purpose of clinical pathways;expound its the rationale and then give an account of disease groups or cases selecting in the clinical pathway and the formulation of means and procedures;the authors also makes investigation and suggestion on the current status of the clinical pathways in our country.
