Inspirations of seminar teaching method for graduate teaching innovation in western universities

It is one of the important aims of postgraduate education to train students＇ability of independently engaging in scientific research. The major traditional teaching model is still the ＂knowledge transmitting - knowledge obtaining＂model in the majority of Western universities in China.Seminar teaching model is a common teaching model during postgraduate educational period in foreign universities.Seminar teaching method focuses on training students to study and explore knowledge independently,and comprehensive scientific research ability,especially innovation ability,which provides beneficial inspirations and references for the cultivation of graduate innovation ability in western universities.
